Okay pretty new here and to WDW and I have a few questions. I have been planning our trip for Sept. which is actually our 1st trip. I have already made our reservations and most of our ADRs and plan on buying tickets to the MNSSHP. But I keep hearing talk about Fantasmic Packages, Illuminations, Fireworks and Wishes; could someone explain all this to me? I am sorry if this sounds dumb but like I said I am new to all this and not that in the know about Disney. Thanks

Fantasmic is a show presented in Disney Studios and is hard to describe. It's characters, film, fireworks etc and is wonderful. The package includes a dinner - I have never booked the package.

Illuminations- is a fireworks, laser, fountain show set to music presented in EPCOT each night.

Fireworks are in the Magic Kingdom and this is Wishes. There are also parades in the evening as scheduled.

You should go to the Walt Disney World site and check the calanders for each park and see the time schedules for each type of event. There are parades in most parks daily.

Fantasmic Dinner Packages are an option for if you don't want to brave the line into Fantasmic at night. Three restaurants offer it. Brown Derby, Mama Melrose's, or Hollywood & Vine. They give you a voucher during you're meal and you get to enter and sit in a reserved area. From what I've heard the seating isn't fabulous, but it is a way to skip the Fantasmic line at the end of an evening at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Illuminations is the nightly show at EPCOT. It is presented on the lake in the middle of the park and is pretty spectacular.

Wishes is the fireworks show at the end of the day at the Magic Kingdom.

All of these shows are at different times depending on when park closing is scheduled.

I hope that helps!

Thank you so much! I will check out the event calendars to find out when and where.
