What's the best/quickest way to get to Wilderness Lodge from the Fort?

Is it hard to get seated for breakfast or dinner at Trails End without an ADR? We want to eat there our arrival night but can only guess what would be a good ADR time, not knowing if our plane will be on time, etc.

What if you want to rent a golf cart for one evening but you will be leaving for the parks early the next day. How would you return the cart without having to pay another day or make a special trip back to the fort to return it?

On our last morning before going home if we check out of our cabin and take the launch to MK, is there someplace at the fort we can leave our car? Or would we have to drive to MK?

Thanks!

You can catch a boat that will take you directly to WL at the marina. You can also walk down the path between the two (more than a mile). It is a nice walk.

We have never made an ADR for Trails end and never had a problem getting right in. I have seen lines of people waiting at times, but I think those are peak times 6-8pm.

I believe that they have a key drop box for the golf cart at the bike barn. You can leave it there when you are done with it. Regardless of how long you rent the cart you will be charged for a full day. You can't pick it up before 1 and it has to be returned by 11 the next day. (One days rental). Personally I wouldn't do it unless I was going to use it the entire time. You will have to have reservations in advance. Chances of getting one just by walking up are very slim.

You can park your car in the outer parking lot when you leave or park it at the MK, either way you will have to take other transportion to the MK.

Hope that helps.

Even though they have the 1pm pickup, I'm pretty sure if they have them available you can get the carts earlier. We always have. I too think they have a night deposit box for early morning cart drop off.
If its a weekend night its good to have reservations at the Trails end if you're going to dine between 6-8 like the other poster mentioned. It all depends, some nights the place is packed other times you can get in easily. Breakfast is usually no problem getting in. (With any other disney restraunt on a Friday/Saturday evening you REALLY need reservations.)
