Hiya, As you know booked to go to the Cheyenne on 30th September - 2nd October. I havent been to the Cheyenne since I was 15 so literally years ago and to be honest don't remember all that much about it. So I have a few questions if someone can help me....

1. Is there a specific building its best to ask for at the Cheyenne (e.g close to reception, close to breakfast etc etc)

2. We will do the half board vouchers this time as we are staying on site. We plan to eat at the Cheyenne buffet, Annettes Dinner, and Billy Bobs Le Grange. I know we only get 2 vouchers but which vouchers will I need for these and at which restraunts are they best used for to get value for money?

3. What is served at the Cheyenne buffet and is it any good?

4. How often do the buses run and what time do they stop?

5. Whats the bar like at the Cheyenne and do you know where I can find a drinks menu?

6. Whats the best time to go to breakfast?

7. How far in advance do the half board vouchers have to be booked and where can I find a list of restraunt in the standard, plus and premium?

Sorry about loads of questions. Hope someones able to help!

I've never stayed at the Cheyenne so can't answer any questions relating to that hotel but I'll try to help out with some queries.

After reading many forum posts, the advice seems to be that it's best to book an early breakfast slot as it tends to get extremely busy during the later slots.

You can add the half board vouchers onto your booking anytime as long as it's done at least the day before you're due to arrive. I've only just added this to my booking and I leave this Tuesday.

Shuttle buses run regularly from hotel to park entrance but it's really not too far to walk at all and sometimes the buses can get very busy and there's not usually a queing system - it's every man, woman & child for themselves!

Hope this helps.

I can help with some of your questions,

With 2 vouchers, you'd be best with standard half board, as both Annettes and the Cheyenne buffet are covered in full with standard half board vouchers. Then you'd pay yourselves for the La Grange.

3. What is served at the Cheyenne buffet and is it any good?

4. How often do the buses run and what time do they stop?
The buses run every 15 minutes or so, from very early (ie 6am) until very late (ie after 11pm)

5. Whats the bar like at the Cheyenne and do you know where I can find a drinks menu?

6. Whats the best time to go to breakfast?
As michandjack said, earlier the better. If you're planning on going to the park for EMH anyway, aim to be at breakfast by 7.30am. By 8am, all the onsite hotels get busy at breakfast.

7. How far in advance do the half board vouchers have to be booked and where can I find a list of restraunt in the standard, plus and premium?

we stayed at the cheyenne last november

i would recommend an accomodation block a bit further away from reception/bar /restaurant area unless you like noise
they are all within a few min walk

the last bus back from the village to the hotel was 22.50

the buffet is good value

soups , salads , bread rolls, cheese
pork, beef, chicken ,ribs, salmon , potatoes , veg

they had a kids section with items such as chips, chicken nuggets , sausages , burgers and other items

and loads of different desserts

well worth the money

Thanks for all the answers. With the few reviews on the buffet and with comments in here sounds like it could be a good choice! Its a bit of a budget holiday this one so think we will go for half board standard and pay for Billy Bobs when we are there.

Regarding the buildings, we are probably the ones making the nose lol! Its only me and my other half so we are likely to go to the hotel bar after our evening meals. Is there a map of around the hotel with the building names or anything?

Also can we book the Chuck Wagon Buffet before we go?

Thanks for everyone help so far. :thumbsup2
