Hello again, arriving in (DL) on May 18th. Need some experts to help me process and prepare for somethings. Here are my questions, and I hope to receive all the information I can:

1) Park Vue Inn hotel? I checked tripadvisor, some good reivews on location, some so-so reivews on room accommadations. Has anyone stayed here before or been since they have renovated the rooms?

2) Fireworks? will there be fireworks on the day we are going? May 18th? If so, what location in the park, and is this different from the 50th Anniversary Parade? Or is there several parades throughtout the day?

3) Has anyone attending DL on a weekday (Thursday)? If so, is it crowded, where you can't walk and lines are a 30 minute wait?

4) Since I have two daughters ages 6 and 10, is theres an area where all the Disney princesses are?

5) Where's the best place to catch Mickey/Minnie/Cinderella etc..for a photo?

I eagerly await your responses, thanks!

Let's see...

1. Answered that in a pm ;)

2. If you're only going on the 18th, then no, no fireworks. They are showing on Fri & Sat. if you'll be staying for more than one day though. To find out what parades and shows are going to happen, go to www.disneyland.com and click on calender. Click on the day(s) that you're going to be there and it'll show you what's scheduled and the times.

3. We were just there a few days last week, including Thurs. There were some lines, but nothing too bad at all. I'd say the longest was probably a 15 minute wait. Weekdays are always good days to go. :)

4. You'll often find the princesses off and on outside of Sleeping Beauty's castle. Generally off to the right, beside the wishing well. If you want a guaranteed shot at seeing the princesses, I'd recommend doing a character meal at Ariel's Grotto (at California Adventure). Ariel is always there, along with 4 other princesses.

5. Characters can be all over the park. At the entrance of main street you'll often see Mickey, Goofy, Minnie, Pluto and other assorted characters. Woody & Jessie are over by Frontierland. Buzz outside Club Buzz. Princesses most often by Sleeping Beauty's castle. Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger are in Critter Country. There is a queue line just past the Pooh ride on your left. All 3 characters are always out at the same time. First you see Pooh, then Eeyore and finally Tigger. I like this set up the best since you're guaranteed to see them all at once. Makes it easy with kids. :) For a guaranteed shot of seeing Mickey, visit him in his house in Toon Town. Minnie has a house in TT too.

Hope that helps! Have a great time with your girls.

You must be getting excited!!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

1. ParkVue is fine! We have stayed there quite a few times. It's an older motel, but clean and extremely convenient.

2. Check the official site for fireworks. The 50th parade is very nice if you like parades. Ask the CMs working the parade route if there is a specific float you want to be near when they stop and perform.

3. Weekdays are generally better than weekends. Usually we are mid-week during the summer, not when school is in session. Hit the park early and work around whatever crowds you find.

4. All the characters are out and about and very accessible at DL. If you have specific character needs (that sounds like a disease!!! :lmao: ) stop by Guest Services, and they can tell you who's working where.

Do you have only the 1 day? Are you just doing DL, or DCA, too??? Give us some more info to work with!!!

Thanks for helping us out. We are going to be there for a day...however, that may change. I have a 3-day hopper, but can only use it for one day (expires on the 18th). I know you can't see it all in one day...but we are on a budget. For my daughters, just going...is a blessing, and they are truly excited!!! and so am I.

I have another posting on DIS as this is our first trip to DL, and we need SO much help, but there is a wealth of information everywhere :surfweb:

We currently have a $1000 budget... I am trying to make some executive decision...purchase more tickets, and stay another night in hotel, maybe looking at $400.00 ? So does that mean...don't buy goodies at DL or Eat there? Help...
