A few questions for an US-IOA first-timer

I will only have part of a day (about 6 hours) to visit the Universal/IOA area. This will be on a Sunday, and I'm wondering where and how to get tickets and what's the best way to go, or if I should skip it this trip and stick with the Disney parks?

I only have a few attractions I really want to see:
IOA: Spiderman, Jurassic Park, *Maybe* Ripsaw Falls..., the Triceritops encounter... *Maybe* Deuling Dragons...
USF: Terminator 2, MIB, and ET

My question: Will I have enough time with only about 6 hours available to make it worth going to *either* park, or maybe *both* parks?

This is on a Sunday, remember, so I don't know how crowds would be.

Suggestions?

Hi, Rajah!

Glad to see you over hear on the "Dark Side"! ;)

My first concern is that you'll only be visiting for one day and you want to see BOTH parks. The only way you can do that is with a 2 day pass which is like Disney's hopper pass. The good news is that the second day doesn't expire so you can use it another time.

If you would like to choose between the two parks I think you and Von Drake would enjoy Islands of Adventure. Spiderman, Jurassic Park, Hulk and Dueling Dragons are worth the price of admission.

And as for 6 hours, Sunday is the least crowded day at the parks for obvious reasons and you can accomplish just about everything in that amount of time.

Hope that helps. You can find all the information and MORE on this board. Enjoy!

Well, for this one I'd be going solo -- VonDrake has to start on his conference duties that day and he's not really interested in "the dark side" anyway ;)

So, going solo on a Sunday when I probly won't arrive until 11am or noon, if I went ahead and got the 2-day, 2-park pass, would I have enough time to see everything on my "must see" list? Are there any single-rider lines or anything like that? Or should I just stick with one park?

Last Feb., even on a "slow" day, the line for Spidey was long, unless you went first thing. We dont do the coasters, so can't comment, but Jurassic Park, Triceratops, most of USF are much quicker waits. (Spidey broke down alot, think Test Track)

But I do think you can see most of park. Don't remember seeing any single rider lines. As non-coaster riders, we have no problem hitting most of the rest of both parks in one day, we enjoy it alot and usually do two days, starting early at USF one day, starting early at IOA the next.

Have fun
