Does anybody know if there is a way straight onto the cars in Phantom Manor, avoiding the 'going down in the scary lift' part? DD is terrified of the lift but loves the actual ride.

And which is wildest - Crush's Coaster or the Rock 'n' Roller one? And can anybody compare either of these to Space Mountain? Thanks in advance!

There is an alternative way in, but only for disabled guests as far as I know as it's through the exit which bypasses the queueline.

Rock 'n' Rollercoaster is fairly similar to Space Mountain in my opinion. Of the three, I would personally say that crush is the tamest, although the spinning of the cars can also make it the wildest for some people - hope that makes sense.

Dont know about phantom manor I'm afraid.

RnR is very similar to Space Mountain, a funner track, but less to look at, and the Canon of space mountain makes it my favourite of the two.

Crush is a lot tamer IMHO

Thanks, guys. So Rock & Roller is out then (I LOATHE Space Mountain!) but I'll give Crush a go :)

I loathe SM2 as well! It's such a bumpy ride that it's practically neck-breaking. But I totally love RR - it may be fast, with lots of twists and turns but the coaster is one of the smoothest rides I have been on. The CC is also one of my favorites but much tamer than the RR.

I certainly wouldn't discount RnR, it is much smoother then SM2. You don't get thrown about as much.

I went on it far more times than space mountain because of that very fact.

Give it a go, you may be surprised.

I generally found being at the back made it better as a tip. Could just be me though.

The alternative entrance to Phantom Manor is indeed through the exit, my Fiancee has to use a walking stick and we used that entrance a few times last visit. It is only for disabled guests as far as I am aware however it might be flexible!

I think R'n'R is nowhere near as bad as space mountain! I love it :thumbsup2

i completely agree space mountain throws you around a lot more than rock n roller but i've found the back is rougher than the front. crush's coaster is a lot tamer than either of those 2! just try and get there early to avoid the massive queue!

Crush is a breeze compared to RNR, however the music on RNR is so much fun! SM2 was closed when I was there, so it will have to wait until next time.

Personally I don't really like SM2 as others have said, thwors you about...neck ached afterwards for a bit.

Love the RnR coaster though, 1 of my faves. Crush is also very good but the tamest of the 3 I would say.

If you can try and give both of them ago as they are 2 very different rides.

I was too chicken to try Rock n Roller coaster last year but considering my hubby isnt going this year I am gonna HAVE to brave it with my 9 year old EEEEEEEEEKK!!

Thanks goodness he too short for Space mountain :rotfl:

I must agree with what others have posted here, RnR is much smoother and gentler on the head that SM2. I would never go back in SM2 but I have lost count of the times I have ridden RnR. That initial burst throwing you straight into a loop is amazing.

Thanks everybody. Think I will try Crush first then and if I am ok with that maybe I'll try R&R. I luuuuuuurrrrrve Big Thunder Mountain - I wish they were all like that! That's my perfect ride, as if it were tailored exactly for me - 1 iota tamer and it'd be boring, 1 iota wilder and I'd be too scared :)
