Hi
I'm looking at my upcoming trip and am I seeing right but:confused3 I see no electrical parade , no afternoon parade ( disneyland park ) , no fireworks :confused3 and to top it off matterhorn , pirate of the carabean ans sunwheel all close ....I'm scheduled to be there feb 27th - march 7 th ..
So many things close ??? and park hours are up to midnight on certain nights ???
Is it typical of feb ????
Thanks alot

February is the "off" season. Maintenance and ride closures are common this time of year, but DLR usually puts the schedule out earlier than it has lately. MainStreet is being repaved. This explains the no parade or fireworks at DL. The electrical parade is usually dark during "off" times. It runs in the summer and at Christmas time. On the other hand, Fantasmic is supposed to be shown nightly until the fireworks return in March. It will be a GREAT trip anyway! We have 11 days and 11 hours to go!!!!

.....and to top it off matterhorn , pirate of the carabean...

The Matterhorn is schedule to be closed only on your first day. There is absolutely nothing official from Disneyland that says PotC is going under refurbishment.

Haunted Mansion and IASW will be RE-open by the time you are there.

Fantasmic!, which is never on during this time of year will be showing every night.

And 100s of other wonderful things to enjoy at Disneyland. And isn't open until midnight a good thing?

I'm not sure what you are worried about, to be honest.

We are headed there in Feb. too. A few things closed, but so many other things to see and do! And yes, open 'til midnight is DEFINITELY a good thing. I would prefer to attend only during mid-week due to crowd aversion :crowded: but need those DL at night fixes! I hate when it closes at eight, but it's a give and take off season. I'd stay until dawn if I could... :sunny:

I will be there in Feb! I saw that CA schools have a long weekend the weekend Im there! Oh well I can't wait and will wait in the lines at least it wont be like the summer. Just crossing my fingers for no rain!:cheer2:

There is a cheer competition in DCA on Feb 28th. Lots of cheerleaders runnin around.

We were there during the Cheerleader event last year. I swear, we saw them in the courtyard between DCA and DL, but didn't see a one anywhere in the parks! So weird! I can be a bit oblivious at times though. :upsidedow I think maybe it was the fact that there were about 100 grouped together in the courtyard, but maybe inside the park they were spread out a bit? Or maybe they changed out of their cheer outfits before they went in? Didn't affect our trip in the least, although the holiday most DEFINITELY did!

Ahh yes, that's the weekend we will be there. :) No school for the girls so we are taking them to DL! We are telling them tonight. :cool1:

Yes, there are things down in the off season but that's OK. I know it and I expect it so I plan around it. :)
