1. Why does it seem to be much cheaper to rent with Vacation Upgrade for Bonnet Creek at the less than 60 days of arrival mark vs futher out?

2. Does anyone else ever beat thier prices?

3. Also, this could be a deal breaker. I am extremely terrified by heights. I really do have a problem staying at a hotel above the 4th or 5th floor. Is their any way I could request a low level floor and it would be granted. I mean if we rented there and they put us on a 10th or 12th floor I just don't know what I would do.

Thanks

Since this is not a Disney resort I am assuming you want to stay off property. I prefer to stay on-site but may have to stay off site because we have 6 in our party and that makes it too expensive at the time we are going.

There are two other options (1) you can check out renting a house close to Disney on VBRO (2) you could stay at Fort Wilderness (this is a Disney Resort and includes the benefits) and if you do not have an RV you can rent one from someone like Greenberg Trailer Rentals and they will bring it to the fort and set it up.

Both of these option are an economical way if you have a group larger than 5. I am not sure about this but someone mentioned parking fees at Bonnet Creek so watch out for hidden costs.

I can also recommend a good hotel about a mile from DTD. Somewhere on this site they have a link, or through Mousesavers for Buena Vista Suites $89 a night and you get a fairly nice free breakfast. We have stayed there several times and can easily sleep 6 in the room. It does not have a full kitchen though.

1. it's cheaper at 60 days out because it is cheaper for THEM to book at 60 days out so they pass the savings on to you.

2. VC is about the best pricing there is. I have booked through 1 other vendor and gotten a good deal...can't remember the name though.

3. There are NO guarantees. PERIOD. If you really can't do above 5- then you need to find another resort. Maybe Sheraton Vistana Villages? I think they are only 2 or 3 floors.

4. HILTON BC charges for parking (this is the hotel part) Wyndham BC- the condo part has FREE parking.

Fwiw, if you do not go out on the balcony the height would not be noticeable at all. But I love having a balcony and maybe you'd miss that too much.

We LOVED Wyndham Bonnet Creek especially for the price. I can't even imagine what 1,300+ square feet on Disney property would go for -- scary because I know what we paid for a regular sized hotel room on property.

I haven't stayed there but agree with a PP about SVV. People seem to love it, although it's location isn't quite as convenient to Disney.

We are at Bonnet Creek now (have been here for 2 weeks). We wanted as high a floor as possible and facing the lake. I think you will be fine to get a room on a lower floor. When we checked in the only rooms they were offering us were first and second floor. We told them we would wait for another one to open, and thankfully it did. We have 12th floor facing the lake with an awesome view of DHS and the TOT and Mickey tower.
I agree with the PP that if you don't go out on the balcony you would be fine. I have a fear of heights, and I can go on our 12th floor balcony as long as I don't go to the railing.
