and shall we be unfortunate and 🤞🤞🤞get the infamous virus being a vgt will I be able to put it back in time ( push it back )

VGT requires payment in full at the time of booking. It is a non-refundable fare. The only caveat to that non-refundable status (that I'm aware) has been DCL's temporary "Flexible Refund Policy" that allows for cancellation within 14 days of the sailing due to covid exposure. With so many requirements dropping this fall, I wouldn't be surprised if that policy gets dropped as well. It's been the only one without a stated end date and is likely costing DCL considerable.

However you can and probably should purchase third party travel insurance. If DCL's temporary policy changes, the insurance should kick-in if you are unable to travel due to illness or other reasons. Coverage will depend on the policy so be sure to ask specific questions before purchasing.

Are you considering Disney insurance to be 3rd party? Or get that PLUS something not offered by Disney that has “????” written in as covered.
What is not covered in Disney that should be considered in searching for an additional plan?
I’ve purchased both before for a few trips and just told the TA “I’ll pay whatever, just get me the best coverage”. I have never used the plans I purchased but they are expensive because they include 3 senior citizens. I have never known what to ask for and trusting AAA to guide me.

I don't usually buy DCL's insurance. I know some folks like it for the "cancel for any reason" aspect (75% credit to use within a year). I guess my suggestion is for any insurance that covers the specific concerns of the party. In OP's situation, she'd want something that covers covid-related cancellation (some policies have specifically excluded that). Others like yourself may want/need coverage for pre-existing conditions, some need to cover work-related cancellations, etc. Except for the DCL policy, it should be fairly easy to call prior to buying and discuss any specific concerns you want covered. The last thing anyone wants is to buy travel insurance then find out it doesn't cover their situation.

If you are cancelling because of Covid, you will probably have already bought airline tickets.

DCL insurance is for things you booked through DCL. For many, that does not include airfare. Or hotel costs if cancelling within its stated time. (Gone are most reservations with cancel by 6pm on check-in. Many have gone to one day in advance. Some are 2-5 days.)

As I approached 60, I decided to get a policy that included medical evacuation. If needed, it is such an expensive item, $10s if thousands - 100k.

With the possibility of more than one trip in a year, I opted for an annual policy. There are lots of companies with this product.

AAA should be able to show you options. Travel Guard, AIG, Allianz are a few that come to mind.

You can look for “cancel for any reason” coverage. Covid is not the only medical condition that can pop up. And make sure Covid is a covered situation.
