A few prayers and a little pixie dust

Most of you know dw and i are self employeed and run a home repair/remodeling service.

We are tired of cutting back, tired of dealing with teh day to day grind and headaches of reunning our own bizz and have decided that in order to stay somewhat sane,, we need to get out and take real jobs.

i have always said that i would love to work for the state parkssystem in arkansas. they have a roving construction crew that goes from park to park remodeling building and facilities, and it has always been a job i would love to havee. granted pay is no where near what we are used to pre hour, and i will be away from home quite a bit, but looka t the locations i would get to work,

anyway,, i ramble,, we started talking about jobs last week, and i started applying this week at a couple places i really wasant that thrilled at taking a job at. I was looking online last night checking the various classified ads etc, and ran accross one from the park systems.

they are looking for a carpenter.

i applied.

would like afew good thoughts regarding me geting this job. i would love to be able to work and camp in the parks year r ound.

Everybody should have a shot at their dream job so I'm glad you are getting the opportunity to at least apply for it. I have a feeling you're dream will come true! I hope I am right!

are you kidding,, i am the hardest critic of my work i've ever seen,, ask chuckb,, i built a cabinet for him once, and it was barely off,, he said it looked great, his wife said looked great, my wife said it loked great,, i tore it out and rebuilt it.


i talked to personell lady today on the phone, job was listed last friday and they have recieve one app. mine.

no interveiws till after the closing date of june 14th,

but it is for hte traveling crew that moves from park to park doing repair/remodel/ construction which is the one i want, also, comes with a great benifit package, and i can camp in the parks we are working on while we are working.
