A few post-cruise hours in San Juan

We just booked our return flights home after our Southern Caribbean cruise from San Juan in January. Our flights don't leave until 3:00pm. Can anyone recommend anything to do after disembarking before we need to be at the airport for our flights? We will have all of our luggage with us so I'm not sure what we would do with that and I'd prefer not to sit in the airport an extra few hours with our kids! Thanks!

Go into Old San Juan. Stash luggage st barrachinos (home of the piña colada) and wander for a bit.

So we had a flight at 2 and just opted to go to the airport. There's a Margaritaville so we went and had lunch there and just wandered. There's a cute tourist shop in the airport where you can get souvenirs (threw security one was better than the one outside). We didn't rush to get off the ship so ended up off around 9:30 I think it was and then it was about an hour in a taxi to the airport - there were officials outside the port helping people get taxis and telling people how much they should be paying etc so really easy.

Thanks! I forgot to add that we will have 3 days in San Juan before the cruise also, so it’s not like we need that extra time to explore, but would probably prefer that to hanging out in the airport! Did it really take an hour to get from the port to the airport? They look pretty close on the map! Maybe traffic is an issue? I’ll check out Barrachinos!

This seems like a great option! Have you done this before? I wonder if you would need to make a reservation or let them know in advance that you want to store your luggage?

It was definitely traffic but it was hard to know whether this was normal or not.
