Howdy all! I've been reading all of your wonderful advice. However, I still have a few questions. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!

1) We have a PS at Chef Mickey's one morning. How long will it take to get there from POR? How do I get there? Bus to MK, monorail to Comtemporary?

2) How do we get to the Hoop Dee Do Review from POR? Is there bus service directly there? How long does it take?

3) Are the room safes big enough for a lap top?

4) My main priorities, room wise, are quietness and access to the transportation. With that in mind, is it better to try and get one of the AB rooms like 14?

If it helps, I will be travelling with my boys who will be turning 8 while we are there.

Thanks!

Rebecca

1. Depending on the time of your breakfast, there is a "Character Breakfast Bus" every morning. I believe it is the first bus of the morning. You can check with the front desk and they will tell you. If it is not a busy season, and you get a good bus driver, they will also just drop you at Chef Mickey's if you ask.

2. There is no direct bus service to the Hoop Dee Do Review from POR. From what I can remember it took FOREVER to get there. They can tell you at the front desk the best way.

3. The safe would not hold a lap top.

4. I like AB #14. It is close to bus stop and Food Court. The Food Court there is great. AB #18 is also a good choice. Near the quiet pool and the Food Court too. We asked for "anything but a parking lot view" and had a courtyrad view in AB #14.

Hi! We went to HDD from POR in 2002. We did take a bus....hard to remember, but it might've been either the water park bus or the downtown disney bus. It did take forever! We had to go through several FW camping loops and then had to walk just a bit to get to the show. The ride back did not seem as bad, but I might be inclined to take the boat to MK and get a bus from there....routes might've changed since then though. The show was great. Good Luck!

1. I'm not sure about the cahracter buses, but I know they have a bus to MK that starts at around 7:15. You could take it there then hop on the monorail like you said. I think it taes 10-15 minutes to get to MK and I'm not sure how long to get over the the CR.

2. We took the bus to MK (10-15 minutes) then the ferry over to Ft. Wilderness. I can't remember how long that took since we weren't on a time crunch. I do know that it let you off pretty close to Pioneer Hall where the HDDR is. They also had buses available to take you back to your resort afterwards.

3. I don't think a laptop would fit, but they could hold it for you at the front desk.

4. If you've decided on the AB try something near the North Depot. I'm no sure of the number. We stayed at Acadian House and it was very quiet and very close to that Depot, so I would think that the AB rooms near there would be too.

As you'll see below..POR is our summer home away from home.

We have gone to Chef Mickey's EVERY year we have been there but only for DINNER. We always drive. If you have a car, you will be able to park in the lot. You'll just need the resort ID on your dash board and you'll be able to go to any resort on property.
No parking fee.

A laptop would NOT fit in the safe. I don't even think it would hodl a normal size womens purse. Its good for wallets, checkbooks, envelopes, jewelry..etc...Smallish things.

As far as AB #14...to us it is the best. You are a coins throw away from EVERYTHING.

BUT if you are looking for quiet.....don't stay there. It is very busy and alot of people traffic and "resort" traffic.

We were in AB 27 last August and thought it would be too far. It wasn't and it was GREAT.

Go see Piano Man Bob in the lounge. You will not regret it.

Thank you so much for all your help!

We won't have a car. For the Hoop Dee Do Review, I'm mainly trying to figure out how early we'll have to leave the parks to get there. We have a 5:00 pm ressie. It sounds like maybe we should plan on going to MK that day and go straight there from the park. That day is my boys' birthday, so I was thinking it would be a good day to go to MK. I thought we could go into City Hall and get them a birthday button.

Is there a boat to FW from EPCOT too?
