a FEW of questions!

Good morning everyone!
We got our LoA on Friday, and read over it. Everything looked great, except there were a few simple things I didn't quite understand. I emailed my planner, but haven't heard back, and I'd like to get this out ASAP. Maybe you will have some answers?

1. The LoA states (in 2.h) that "All guests shall comply with the credit policy of the Resort prior to check-in, including, without limitation, making arrangements to pay such charges by credit card." What exactly does this mean? Do the guests have to pay for their rooms by credit card only? And what does "without limitation" mean (we saw it in another area too).

2. We will be using outside Photography (Randy Chapman) and Videography (STVS Video). The contract states that we are subject to a fee for using someone other than Disney. I've heard that this is not always the case however. Just curious if there is a charge for using these two.

3. On the Save The Date Room Reservation form, the last day to reserve at the discount it listed at Thursday, July 17th. However, the LoA lists this date as the 19th. Is there a reason for the difference?

My coordinator said that Disney is going away with the escort fee. They will still make them sign something or other (copyright stuff) but no more fee.

Mine does that too.
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that guests could fax their reservation request? That would take a little bit of time to get confirmed... that's just my guess... (i could be completely wrong... )

I think #1 means that they have to pay a deposit to reserve a room. Rooms dont necessairly need to be paid for by credit card... but somehow they have to pay a deposit before they arrive. Then agree to pay the designated room rate upon check in (plus any additionals).

I have Randy Chapman and I wasnt charged the fee. I think cseca is right... they realized that its a stupid charge and are getting rid of it so they dont have to listen to people complain

#3, your room block closes one month before your wedding. I'm not sure why it gives you two different dates, but I'd give your guests the earlier date because someone is bound to wait to the last minute.

They added in the 19th in you LoA, because it is the 19th your getting married on correct? If memory serves me right, that reservation office is only open Mon.-Fri. The 19th falls on a Saturday this year, or if you getting married next year Sunday. They moved up the date to the last day the reservation line is open. That is only my guess.

100% agree with this. Sadly it is a common occurrence that guests wait until the last minute to make their reservations. You run out of rooms in your block, because you couldn't read their minds as to where they will stay and for how long. The resorts in your block are completely booked, and now your guests are scrambling to find a room. It happened to me, and the WP's assistant says it happens all the time.

Also, slight side note: unless they have changed the rules in the past 2 months, your guests can't have the DDP with the wedding discount.

I questioned this exact thing and was told that it's because the room block completely disappears at the two month mark, so they leave one day to see if they catch any mistakes or people call late, because after that the room block is released and there is no way to get any back.
