I didn't see this posted already, just got an email update from Universal Informer about these -

CONFIRMED: multiple Universal Orlando Resort attractions will temporarily close beginning August 9:
🛸
Kang and Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl
🔱
Poseidon’s Fury
🚗
Fast & Furious – Supercharged
🌪
Storm Force Accelatron
⚠️
Fear Factor Live
💜
A Day in the Park with Barney
A Universal Orlando Resort spokesperson told Orlando Informer:
"As we continue to evaluate our offerings during this phase of our reopening, we’ve decided to focus on our marquee guest experiences. Therefore, we’re going to temporarily close the following effective Sunday, August 9: A Day in the Park with Barney, Fast & Furious: Supercharged, Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl, Fear Factor Live, Poseidon’s Fury and Storm Force Accelatron. We’re working to move team members at these experiences to other roles within Universal Orlando."

Nothing I will miss terribly much.

Yeah out of all of them would be Poseidon, nothing like extremely well working ac when it’s 105 outside!!!!!

Def miss Posiedon Fury, especially for first timers that haven't seen it.

I liked it for what it was but the first 2 chambers especially were very meh to me. It didn't really have any 'wow' to it until the water vortex which is definitely the best part. The final room/scene was fun but feel pretty dated now. Would love to see them turn it into a dark ride that would utilize the parts parts of the walkthrough/show with what they did with Spider-Man & Transformers. Think a dark ride that goes through a temple and put you in the middle of the battle like the other rides would be great. They could still do the water vortex and have the fire and water effects during the battle too along with the screen based video blended into the environment for the actual battle. It would be an amazing way to keep the attraction alive in a manner but greatly enhance it for today.

I agree, the only one I will miss is posioden's. Last time I was there it was mine and my DD's bday and she was picked as the special helper and it was super fun.

Poseidon is also my favorite out of that list of rides. What is telling though is that Fast & Furious is in that list of "non-marquee" guest experiences given how new a ride it is. Hopefully Universal will take that to heart with all the ongoing ride updates and new rides being built.

Fast & Furious surprises me, because of how new it is. Although I know it gets bad reviews, I haven't ridden it yet and was looking forward to seeing it. Hopefully they have some of these rides back after slow September.

Plus Kang and Kodos is amusing, and a nice little scenic gentle break.

We did Poseidon's for the first time last month. We liked it even though it seems a bit dated (yay a/c!) but I think social distancing killed the "flow" of it if that makes sense. We spent as much time if not more moving from room to room one group at a time and being directed where to stand as we did watching the show.

Too bad Posideon's Fury is shutting down. Now I have to find someplace else to hide from the rain.

I hope the benches around Storm Force Accelatron will still be open. They were a nice place to sit and chill away from the hustle and bustle of the park.

I'll only miss the queue part in F&F.
yeah - sadly that is better than the ride.
If they closed Poseidon’s Fury, Fast & Furious – Supercharged and Fear Factor Live permanently I doubt I'd notice - there is a lot of space taken up by those IMO

I like Kang and Kodos, just a fun little chill ride. I understand why they temporarily closed it though, as there’s almost never a wait even during normal times. Hope it comes back when things get better.

I think it has the least chance of permanent closure of any of them. The land it takes up can't really be used by much else. Fear Factor and Poseidon take up some good land that could be used for some great new attractions that would pull in more people too. Fast and Furious is new but as others have stated the reviews have been pretty weak for it and it is not a very good utilization of the IP. It takes up a good amount of space as wel for an attractions that isn't that popular. The newnewss of it makes me think its unlikely to be replaced but its a possibility.

I don't understand the reasoning for Kang and Kodo and Acceletron. Is it really costing them much to operate those, they basically have 1 attendant and given the on/off load cycle, they can just not run it if no one is actually on the ride rather than cycling it through constantly. Not to mention they are good diversions for the non-thrill seeking guests.

Is this a ride that is sanitized after each usage?

In 10 days at Universal/Disney I did not see any rides that were sanitized after each ride. I did see rides shut down periodically for a few minutes for sanitation throughout the day.

Yeah - I was a bit surprised by Kang and Kodo. I think it was one of the ones that is cleaned a lot as Macraven alluded too. (Acceletron may be the same.)
Just a guess really - I dont see it going unless they totally replace Simpsons
