A few little questions for my April trip

I haven't stayed DVC before, so I have a couple questions. I know housekeeping doesn't come in and clean up the room every day. I am fine with that. I can pull up the covers on my bed myself. When I get to the room, will there be a lot of towels? How do they handle the towel stuff? Does the bell staff bring your bags to the room? I will be switching to BCV from POFQ and I am having Disney transfer my luggage. And after my BCV stay, I will be moving for 1 night to the regular BC rooms. And is there anything else I might need to know since this my first DVC stay?

Kim - the 1st question I have for you is how was your DVC reservation made?

If you either rented points or had a member make you a cash reservation then the DVC housekeeping rules apply.
If you made your reservation directly with Disney central reservations, then you don't have to worry about the housekeeping rule. You would get daily housekeeping.

If you are on "points" and in a studio or a 1 bedroom unit - you will get enough towels for 4 people. In the 1 bedroom villa you will have a washer/dryer and detergent to do laundry. If you're in the studio - there is a guest laundry you can use.

Depending on the # of days you probably won't need to do laundry. You can also get extra towels ( for a fee - but I'm not sure how much $ ) if you need them

Staying DVC isn't that different from staying non-DVC. Biggest thing is the Mousekeeping. I never had a problem with not having daily maid service. Your room will have plenty of towels. Depending on your length of stay, you will receive towel service where they bring more towels and remove your trash. Other than that, yes, there is bell service to bring your bags to your room and to pick them up when you check out. BCV is awesome, you are going to love it! I also love POFQ, it's my favorite moderate. :goodvibes Check out the POFQ map before you go. We stayed in building 5 there and loved the location. Close to the pool, main building and bus stop.

As far as the luggage transfers go -

When you officially check-in at the Beach Club just ask at the desk about the luggage transfer. Once you're checked in and have a room, I believe Bell services will bring your luggage right to your room.

When you transfer to a regular room from the DVC area - you can either take your luggage with you - if the next room is ready - or have Bell services hold it and bring it to you later on

Ok, since I'm the one who rented the points, I'll answer as best I can:

As the others have said, you get towels for 4 people. Housekeeping will bring new towels on Day 4.

You can have Luggage Services at POFQ do the transfer to Beach Club for you. They will tag the luggage, but it won't arrive until late afternoon. Since check in at DVC is technically 4pm (the time you're supposed to get your villa, that is), you probably won't be able to get your luggage until then anyway. You can call Bell Services from your room and have them deliver your luggage. I would suggest telling them you have luggage transferred from POFQ so they are aware of it.

When you check out, your regular BC room may not be ready, so Bell Services in the lobby can store your luggage until the new room is ready.

Thank you everyone. Towels for 4 people will be more than enough for just little me. :rotfl: I am getting so excited about this trip. I got my package stuff for the POFQ portion of my trip yesterday. I just need my ME luggage tags (the ones for POFQ, not the ones that mysteriously arrived for the 2nd half of my trip at BCV.) Let the gather begin. It has actually begun already with the start of the basement straightening. My Winnie the Pooh tote bag is full already.
