Hi folks! :)

My missus and I are going to DLP for our first time this Friday morning for 4 days, and are flying back Monday morning. I am planning a day's sightseeing in Paris for either Saturday or Sunday, with the rest of the time dedicated to the parks.
I understand that weekends are crazy in the parks, but can anyone advise whether it would be better to do the Paris day on the Saturday, which I would imagine is the busiest of the two days due to most people having the next day off, so that it might be slightly quieter in the parks on sunday. Or is the difference so negligable that we might as well do it any day?
Also, does anyone know the fastest way from experience to the Louvre from the DLP by RER and metro?
Finally, we want the very earliest breakfast time to take advantage of the EMH's etc (we are staying at the Santa Fe). If they give you a later time has anybody ever been able to talk them into giving you an earlier one? How is this enforced also? Do they give you a ticket or something? Has anyone just turned up earlier anyway and had no trouble?
Thanks so much for your time! Can't believe we're gonna be there this time next week!

I can't help with the Paris trip, but I'm sure someone will soon.

With regards to breakfast. I'm sure you'll be able to get the earliest slot. We were at the Cheyenne, but I'm sure most hotels will be the same. For some strange reason, not many people want the earlier slot. When we arrived at our hotel 7am was the only breakfast slot left. We were told that it didn't really matter what time you went for breakfast, so long as you had your ticket, so I think it's just a rough guide.

Yes they give you a ticket for each day with your time on it, but I'm sure you'll be lucky enough to get a 7am slot.

Thanks for that Cookie! I'd imagine most people with kids don't much fancy the idea of waking and dressing them at 6:00 in the morning whilst on holiday! :scared1:
Anyone else got any advice for the Paris day out, and whether the park's are just as busy on Saturday and Sunday? :)

I would imagine they are pretty similar, e were only there on a sunday but it was incredibly busy (sadly monday tuesday and wednesday were'nt a lot beter though!)

I haven't been to paris during a stay at DLP, but the louvre is a lovely walk from Pyramides metro station. ;)

I would say Weekends would probably be as busy as weekdays as its Summer Holidays etc.

I never had a problem waking any of our kids up at 6am, they were already wide awake and raring to go :woohoo: :woohoo: It was however, a chore, to get me and their dad up out of our beds on the 4th, 5th and 6th day of our stay lol

Saturday and Sunday had similar crowds when we were there in June. They're quite quiet in the mornings, so you could do EMH and then head to Paris. At the weekend, we did EMH and then went back to the hotel for a bit and headed back to the parks about 4-5pm when it was starting to quieten down. The weekdays for us were a lot quieter but that's because we were out of season I think.

if you get off the RER at Chatelet les Halles the Louvre is probably walkable from there - just head towards the river and along the river- a lovely walk.

Or you could get off at Charles de Gaulle Etoile and walk down the Champs elysee - a longer walk but a nice one. You will reach Place de la Concorde then walk along Rue de Rivoli past our favourite tea rooms - Angelinas, or through the Tuilieries gardens and you will reach the LOuvres

At the Santa Fe, you can turn up for breakfast earlier than your slot, no problem at all, especially if you intend going to the restaurant between 7 and 7.45am. I've had slots for 8.15 and 8.30, and turned up at 7.15, to a pleasant CM and an empty restaurant :thumbsup2 .

If you get stuck with a late breakfast time (say 9am), try asking if its ok to go at an earlier time like 7am.

I've found they are generally quite accomodating if you go early because the rbreakfast is quiet at 7, but accumulates more people over time until it gets busy by 8/8.30 irrespective of what time ticket people have.

They aren't generally so helpful if you go late - on a day i went much earlier than my ticket i saw the same CM turning away a family who had missed their slot. They were told to come back at the end of breakfast.

I'd like to point out i hadn't taken up a table that they could have used as i had eaten breakfast and been back to my room and was heading to the park when i saw this. When i'd left the breakfast there were lots of empty tables, but by the time i saw this, the resturant was nearly full.
