Hi I've never posted before but I read lots of forum advice before our trip and would like to share my experience. We just returned from our trip 4 adults and a 2 year old and it was great! We found universal employees very friendly and accommodating, our 2 year old had a great time he loved suess land.we didn't have express pass but rode everything we wanted to some multiple times and we enjoyed the dining options we ate at leaky cauldron ,myths, cow fish, and breakfast at Starbucks and Cinnabon. It was an enjoyable 3 days in the parks I don't get the negative stuff people experience . Thank you all for helping plan our trip through your advice

Thank you for sharing with all of us!

We love reading happy tales from vacationers.

Hope you stick around and share some of the things that helped you make your park days successful

Welcome to the boards! Like you, we did 3 days at first...then 7...then 10. I hope you created wonderful memories for your family.

i'm with the OP - we enjoyed 3 days (Me, DW, and DS(5)) in the parks and at CityWalk and loved it! The express pass works SO MUCH BETTER than disney's FastPass, getting in, out, and between parks was incredibly easy, and we could actually at restaurants inside and outside the parks without making reservations months and months in advance.

I only had two bad experiences:

  • The line for the Harry Potter Train between parks (SO NOT WORTH THE WAIT!)
  • Mardi Gras - dangerously overcrowded, imo.

Gookey, thank you for posting your excellent experience at Universal..........it is so good to hear the positives from a new poster..........

Glad you had such a wonderful time and that your family enjoyed it too.

Hope to see you post more :)

Glad you had a great trip! I hope you come back and post more about it (I love trip reports!)

I've never been at Universal where the line for the HE was more than 40 mins; as a huge Potter fan, I thought it was worth the wait for rthe ride and the interesting queue. Although if you (hubbard) were there during Mardi Gras, I cannot imagine how the wait was.

That looked SCARY it was so crowded! Hopefully they learned from this year with the party/concerts and have a better game plan next time!

We must be lucky because we haven't waited that long for HE. Also, the one night we did Mardi Gras wasn't crowded at all. It was really fun!
