A few DVC first-timer questions!

I have a couple of Questions I hope someone can answer for me!

Is there a cookie sheet or baking sheet in the kitchen so i can make Chicken Nuggs for the kiddos?

Also is there maid service 1 time if i stay for 10 days or none at all the whole time?

Can i request more towels or does that cost? and if so how much?

I'm assuming your are staying in a villa with a full kitchen. I don't know about a cookie sheet, but there is certainly a broiler pan in the oven. I believe an extra set of towels is $6. Mousekeeping comes in to clean and take trash every 4th day.

For stays of seven or fewer nights, Trash and Towel Service is provided on day four. With this service, Housekeeping will

Empty the trash and put new liners in the wastebaskets
Provide fresh bathroom towels
Replace shampoo, facial soap and bath soap
Replenish facial tissues, paper towels, and toilet paper
Replenish coffee, sugar, and cream
Replenish dishwashing liquid, dishwasher detergent, sponges, and laundry detergent as applicable

For stays of eight or more nights, Full Cleaning Service is provided on day four and Trash and Towel Service is provided on day eight. After that, the cycle begins again on day 12. With Full Cleaning Service, Housekeeping will provide everything included with the Trash and Towel Service, plus

Change the bed linens
Vacuum and dust
Clean the bathroom(s)
Clean the kitchen/ette and wash the dishes

Can i request more towels or does that cost? and if so how much?

note that new towels are provided every 4th day. but if you still need more...

Pay As You Play
With Pay As You Play service, you'll be provided with the following amenities free of charge at the start of your stay. After that, you may purchase more for the following fees:

Toiletries Package, $5.00 - 1 facial soap, 1 bath soap, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, 1 shower gel
Coffee Package, $3.00 - 1 package of coffee, 8 sugars, 8 creamers, 8 artificial sweeteners
Towel Package, $6.00 - 4 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 4 washcloths, 1 bath mat
Laundry Detergent (only in One-, Two-, and Three-bedroom Vacation Homes), $1.00 - 1 box

For a 9 night/10 day stay you will receive full housekeeping on day 4 (day 1 is check-in day) and trash & towel service on Day 8.

There should be a cookie sheet in one bedroom and larger units , if not, housekeeping should be able to provide one.

Ok do I have this right?

We are staying 6 nights in a two bedroom villa, we have 8 people coming. For ther towels are we only going to have 4 of them to use for all 8 people and then only get clean ones on the 4th day?

So to me this means I need to pack towels or am I just crazy.

Each bathroom will have 4 towels, two hand, 4 washcloths and a mat. Replaced on day 4 with Trash and Towel. You also have a washer/drying in room if you need to launder them.

I'm glad this is here I have a question of my own. What about extra pillows. how much does an extra pillow cost. We have a 22 month old that will be sleeping with us but she will need her own pillow. Do they give you one? Do I pay for one?
If you get the extra set of towels for $6 do they then take them on day 4 and you need to repurchase them?
Do they leave extra trashbags or do I have to bring my own. I don't mind emptying the trash but will they provide extra bags?

If you decide to use points at a regular disney resort do you get normal towel and maid service or is it the same restrictions as DVC?

Please help.

For the cookie sheet question. About a third of my visits I have had to request that they bring one up to us. I don't know why they are probably the only thing that we have ever had missing, so it may or may not be in the room.

I've never asked for an additional pillow, but I don't think that they charge for that.

I was going to ask this very question. DH always sleeps with multiple pillows (about 5 total ). Traditional hotel rooms have no problem bringing extra pillows. I am hoping the DVC world is the same. Otherwise, we'll be taking a taxi ride to the local WalMart!!

Yes, you'll need to pay for the towel pack again on day 4 if you want four more towels.

If you are in a 1 bedroom or larger, there are extra pillows and blankets in the master closet. If you are in a studio, there will be pillows to make up the sofa bed in the closet. Each garbage can has extra plastic bags in the bottom.

Regular resort room, regular maid service.

Each bldg at SSR and OKW will have a trash room. The other DVC resorts will have a trash room on each floor. You can bring your trash (separated regular trash and recyclables) to the trash room. You will have a green trash can for the recyclables and a regular trash can for the other trash.
