I read my new Birnbaum's cover to cover over the last two days, but I still have a few questions.

1. Is there a daytime parade at DCA? The "one day schedule" for DCA in the Birnbaum's book states "....find a curbside spot in the SF district about 20 minutes before the parade starts....blah, blah.... and settle in for an early dinner." HUH? I thought the only parade at DCA was the nighttime Electrical parade? Am I wrong or confused?

2. Historically, what time can I expect park closing to be on weeknights in mid-July?

3. I know that there is no seating for Fantasmic (and paying for the dessert buffet is not in the budget). Where is the best/most comfortable place to find a spot for this? Would it be worth our while to store a blanket/towel in a locker during the day to sit on for FAntasmic?

4. We will have three days at the parks, the last being a Friday.... would we be better off (crowd wise) saving DCA until Friday, assuming that DL would be more crowded on a Friday than DCA?

5. Any word yet on when Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear will be opening?

6. Is Goofy's kitchen worth the time? We have done Chef Mickey's and loved it, but as we have very limited time in DL, we weren't sure we should take the time. Is it different enough from CM that we should do it?

Thanks for any and all help!...........P

Eureka was the daytime parade, but it's been discontinued - I don't know if they'll bring it back or another one for the summer crowds

I *think* 10pm, however, on the 17th, it might close at midnight.

Since you're going in the summer, there'll be two shows -- save yourself time and go to the 2nd show - go over between the Haunted Mansion & Pirates - you should find a spot. Seating on the ground in front, and standing room only directly behind them. Do not sit on the brick wall because they'll make you move.

That would be a good idea

I expect Buzz to open in March - Space officially will open in November, but there is a lot of buzz that it may open by DL's b-day

If you like character meals then it's a good one to go to, however, if you have a package, that means you get early entry on one day to Fantasyland & Toontown - take advantage.

There will be a "parade" for DCA this summer its called Block Party Bash- Ive heard conflicts if itll be a real parade or a stop and go parade....

As for hours I would bet itll be mostly 11-12 pm closings this July-

Goofys is fun but if I had to compare it to a WDW one- Id be Chef Mickeys... They are pretty similar in and of themselves- -em

In front of the Haunted Mansion, right by the dessert buffet is a great place to view the show.

Just wanted to say thanks for all of the helpful replies!..............P
