A few AP Questions

I currently have an onsite package with free dining and a 9 day park hopper scheduled at CSR 8/20-29 of this year. We just decided we would like to go again right before Christmas for 7 days OFF site. We priced out that it will be cheaper to upgrade to the AP when we arrive in a few weeks. We've pre purchased the Memory Maker already which I believe comes for free if we get AP. Should I cancel memory maker (and get assessed a fee of $50 since within 30 days of trip)? If I do that, when I arrive on site will memory maker that comes with upgrade to AP begin immediately? I pre purchased originally so I can take advantage of the service the moment I arrive. Will I have to wait three days into my trip if I wait to upgrade when I arrive and use the one that gets included in AP? Also, since I will be staying off site during my trip in December, do I get to reuse the magic bands with the AP? How does the AP work when you are staying off site and making fast passes? Sorry for the long post!!!

Id Modify it. Disney reservation agents DO NOT have to charge you the 50 bucks its their discretion to charge that amount, if they say they are going to charge you, ask for it to be wavied, if they refuse hang right up wait 5 mins and call back to speak to another CM lol

Also you dont have to modify your tickets to AP right away to get the pictures, just use a card from one of the photopass people and you can then add that number to your ap account later, the pictures last 45 days. I just switched over to a better AP in DL and the picktures i took in december were added on.( photo is actually run out of florida so should be the same for you guys there)

since I will be staying off site during my trip in December,
1. do I get to reuse the magic bands with the AP?

2. How does the AP work when you are staying off site and making fast passes?

You will also be receiving your actual AP MagicBand if you will go to your MDE account after you come home from your Aug. trip and customize that AP MB.
You can use ANY MB at WDW that you have now or will be receiving.

You don't need to get a photopass card when you have a magic band-they just scan that and the photos are avail in the MDE app (or the website) for purchase. Once the OP ungraded to the AP they can download them all for free.
