Hello Ladies and Gents! :)

As a fellow podcast listener, I opted to pos this here. I hope it's not in the wrong place and nobody minds.

For a final project on text structures, I'm having students plan a trip to WDW for a "client" and then prepare a brochure using different kinds of text structures to explain the trip to the client. I'm excited for this because we're local-ish to WDW and the kids all have a decent knowledge of the parks.

I'd like to give the kids several different profiles of clients so not everyone is doing the exact same thing. This is where you come in! :)

Knowing that we're all WDW fans and have some pretty strong preferences about the park, I'd love it if some of you would be willing to answer a few questions about things you like to do at the parks, so I can use the information to create a more authentic profile.

If you would be willing to participate, please copy and answer the questions below:

1. Name (or pseudonym)

2. Favorite Disney Park

3. Who do you usually go to the parks with?

4. What kind of rides/attractions do you prefer: high impact and exciting or more laid back?

5. What things are a must do for you at Epcot?

6. What things/attractions would you never do at Epcot?

7. Would you rather be running from place to place and do as much as possible or take things a little easier and do a little less?

8. Sit down and eat, get quick service or bring your own lunch to the parks?

Feel free to add on anything else you might think is important to help my students plan their trips. :)

1. Name (or pseudonym) Jeff

2. Favorite Disney Park Epcot - but its by a slim margin over the MK

3. Who do you usually go to the parks with? Val - my wife

4. What kind of rides/attractions do you prefer: high impact and exciting or more laid back? More relaxed - but still enjoy some of the exciting ones

5. What things are a must do for you at Epcot? - eat and drink, not necessarily in that order. :)

6. What things/attractions would you never do at Epcot? Mission Space (any color)

7. Would you rather be running from place to place and do as much as possible or take things a little easier and do a little less? Taking it easy and doing less

8. Sit down and eat, get quick service or bring your own lunch to the parks? combination of sit down and eat with quick service.

Feel free to add on anything else you might think is important to help my students plan their trips. :) Keep in mind that these answers are from a couple of old retired people who visit so regularly that we no longer feel obligated to see/do everything when we hit the parks.

Consider where the 'client' is coming from and how this would affect their needs at WDW. We come from Fairbanks, Alaska - so its a major trip for us to visit and when we get to go we make it as large a trip as possible as we are not going to be able to come for quite some time. For us, we ended up buying DVC and save up points to stay for 2 weeks. Also - if the client is staying a longer time, is it worth it for them to purchase an annual pass vs. 10 day park tickets? Are they dinning plan people or maybe Tables in Wonderland would be a better suggestion? We usually get the deluxe dinning plan - but we are also foodies at heart and have very limited restaurants here in town, so Disney is also about the food for us. Any special events to plan for - We try hit times when there are special events - MNSCHP, Food and Wine, Flower and Garden, MVMCP.

My family- my mum, dad and two brothers aged 14 and 8.

4. What kind of rides/attractions do you prefer: high impact and exciting or more laid back?

High impact (but not too thrilling!) I love Rock n' Roller Coaster, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, etc. The only thrill ride that I can't stand is Tower of Terror however my family love it so we would still have to make a stop every trip!

5. What things are a must do for you at Epcot?

Soarin' and Test Track, plus eating at restaurants in World Showcase and experiencing all the different cultures.

I've never done Mission Space- however I might be willing to try it sometime soon should I be convinced it will not make me sick...!

7. Would you rather be running from place to place and do as much as possible or take things a little easier and do a little less?

Take things easier! We like three meals a day in Epcot to experience the cultures. We normally go for trips of 14 days or more so have the time to relax a little more.

8. Sit down and eat, get quick service or bring your own lunch to the parks?

We always get the Deluxe Dining Plan and eat at table service restaurants for every meal. We love character meals and dinner shows. We like visiting the nearby resorts for lunch as a break from the parks.

Extra information: We are from the UK and so the patriotic rides and shows are a must for us. We love being immersed in American spirit! Shows are a must, and any tribute to America we love to see!
