Is there any ride where you consider it "not worth it" to pull a fastpass and just use the stand by line instead?

The only one that Dis'er mentioned on a regular basis as being not really worth it was Autopia, but they aren't offering FPs for that attraction at this point. Otherwise, I would use FPs to help reduce the wait at the attractions.

Buzz Lightyear. Why that one has FP now is beyond me, especially when there are others that need it much more badly ::cough Peter Pan cough::.

I find BTMRR has a fairly quick standby line. If the line does not extend out of the queue, I would get in the s/b line vs. pulling a FP. Last week BTMRR was regularly a 5 min wait throughout the day...until after the fireworks.

I would still get the Buzz Lightyear FP because it's disconnected. So it doesn't really impact your ability to get any other FP. We wandered by and the Standby line was 15 minutes. The FP return time was for 40 minutes later, so we pulled a FP, went and did some other things (in our case, grabbed lunch), and then rode Buzz after lunch. While it probably only saved us about 10 minutes, it's still a little savings and less standing out in the hot sun.

It all just depends on the crowd level. I have pulled a FP for Indy first thing at 9 with a return time of 9:40 - 10:40. When we returned at 10:00, there was no outside line, so they weren't even taking the FPs from people. When we got off there was still a few minutes left on our return time, and the line had grown to 20 mins (still pretty short) so we passed on our FPs to a couple entering the stand by line. Of course, mornings always have shorter lines than later in the day. So if you happen to go by BTMRR and the wait is 10 mins, I would ride and pull a FP for something with a longer standby line, like Indy or Space. On crowded days they are all worth it!!!
