We're a family of five, and have booked a parent in with each of the two rooms. But in reality, the kids will be going in one room and we'll be in the other. So how do the card keys work? Will we be able to get into our kids room if we request to be able to open it? And what if they want to come in to our room at any time of the day, can they do the same? Any tips about having seperate rooms from your kids would be appreciated, we've never done this before. Thanks. (They will be ages 16, 13 and 12)

The magnetic cards can be set up to open the doors any way you specify.

As for the rest, you're going to have to wait for a response from a cruiser who travels with more than just a dog. (At least he doesn't hog the bathroom)

Thanks Linda. When you say they can set the cards up anyway I specify, do you mean they can be made to open both doors? Love that pic of Cash:D .

It is my understanding that you can't have one key card open more than one stateroom door. You can ask guest services for as many duplicate cards as you want to open another cabin you occupy. You'll have to carry two cards at all times, to have access to both doors.

Lori, thats exactly what I was hoping for, thanks so much.
