Learned some interesting trivia:

Eventually The Walt Disney Co. regained the rights to Oswald. In 2006, Disney made a deal with NBC/Universal, trading ABC sports commentator Al Michaels for the animated bunny.

A lifelong smoker, Disney had his left lung removed before finally losing his battle with cancer. His last words, scribbled on a piece of paper shortly before he died, were "Kurt Russell." No one knows why, not even Russell, who at the time was a relatively unknown actor under contract with Disney.
