I saw that sometime before midnight the Galaxy stage sold out. Since we aren't arriving til free flow, I doubt there will be anything.

We got in the hall around 11:20, minimal security line but we're warned from get go we were gonna get streaming and we did (and not till almost 7:45!) A girl I know who got here at 10 ish gthein the live panel but ikniwwscreenho gn vlokn

You should check for the other panels, not a lot of people were getting wristbands for them. I got Dave Filoni and Ian McDiarmid. On the show floor line right now.

Greeting from across the hall!

So I'm 99% sure I'm "sleeping over" tonight :)
Plan is to go stream early at AKL, buy a chair :) come back home and try and sleep as much as I can from 1pm until whatever time, probably 6pm or 7pm, take shower and head over MTFBWMe
Thank you for directing me to this thread from the Hollywood studios one. I have a question for anyone who went today. Ian going tomorrow at 5 am by the looks of today I would probably no make it to the live panel. Anyone that went to the other 2 rooms for streaming is it just like a big screen and that's it? Do the actors stop by or anything? If is just a screen I rather just do their panels or stuff

It's just a screen, but the crowd still had the energy of the crowd inside the theater.

Got em! Disregard this thread. Have a great time everyone!

Anyone kind of familiar with me on these boards want to do an annoying merch pick up? The ThinkGeek booth launched their second set of Star Wars tikis and are selling a Jabba and Salacious Crumb set exclusively at the con. I can paypal money before purchase. Someone please PM if interested in being my merch mule.

If you have a picture I can try and get it tomorrow

We were in the Behind the Scenes Stage for the 40th Anniversary panel, it was a blast, even if we weren't in the live room. And the Leia posters we got were amazing.

The Celebration Store experience was soul-crushing, though...

Yeah, I was in the other streaming room and it was great. Loved the posters.

The store was rough. I went at 2pm, said 120, waited 4 hours to get in. At first they didn't have the size but I waited around a little and they put it back out. Had to wait an hour to check out.

I'm in line now for tonight. Got here at eleven and the Last Jedi filled up its queue and is in overflow now. Based on where I was yesterday, you're either in a screening room or not making it in.

Rian Johnson came out and they formed a big line and he basically ping ponged back and forth taking photos and signing things for all that wanted it. He was super nice and I grabbed a quick photo.

I got in line for Mark's tribute, it has about 1 and 1/2 switchbacks filled. Other panels are empty.

Two overnights, two screening rooms. Haven't even stepped foot in exhibit hall. And BF lost his 4 day badge at security. He ran and got a Friday one but that's basically the con for him. Doubt he'll ever want to come back after all this.

Just came back from day 3. Impressions from a Celebration Virgin
Wed. a friend of mine texted me that she was in line at 2pm for the 40th, I knew there was no way I could sleep over so I decided not to even try. Instead slept until 3am and arrived at SWC around 3:30am huge line outside. It started moving fairly quickly once 5am came, got a wristband for Dave Filoni on character origins and also for Ian McDiarmid. Also attended the Disney merchandise panel
Got in line for the show floor and was about 50th away from the front and whomever said to go to the show floor Thursday morning was absolutely right. It was empty, really enjoyable. Basically walked the floor twice before 11am, had breakfast, got a picture with Andy and Anthony from the SW show
Watched a bit of the 40th panel from the SW Show stage but decided to geet in line for the Filoni panel, I could hear all the excitement from the room and heard John Williams conducting the orchestra, that would've been really cool to be in that room
Friday was my loooong day with Galactic Nights so arrived at SWC around 7:30am, super fast check in, got wristband for the making of Rogue One, bought the Disney nametag exclusive to SWC , got a lot of pictures from the floor and cosplayers. The panel started about 40 minutes late but it was really cool. Left to grab a decent lunch before the party and arrived at DHS at 5pm
Today arrived around 8am. Got wristband for Rebels panel in the celebration stage (stream room) and for the Disney/SW panel. Walked the floor but mainly hung out with friends I haven't seen in years.
For me it has been a success but I have heard some horror stories from the autograph and picture lines. I think that the wristbands and loading of panels has worked fairly well. Everyone seems polite and happy to help

This is also our first celebration and we have had a blast. My girls are loving every part of it. We did not get into the main panels thurs and friday no way I was going to sleep over. But we did make the Heroines panel with Ashley on Friday. We also did the Rebels main stage today. We loveeeeeeed it. We also had a blast today at the Starwars.com show today. We saw Billy Dee Williams and Ray Park today at the show. We loved the Ahsoka day picture taken at the stairs. So much to do in one day. Love all the cosplayers. They were awesone. We are having so much fun. My kids are sad tomorrow is the last day. I am sooooo tires but soooo worth it

I'm really happy people are having positive experiences! We had such a poor time we ended up selling one of our passes as soon as we had an offer. 6+ hours wait to get into TLJ streaming room, confused staff (we only got a good seat because the staff accidentedly sent our queue in before the one ahead of us...), 3 hr+ wait to the official store, and most con-exclusive merchandise sold out within a half hour of opening. The way security and lines were handled was unacceptable and unfair. As someone who traveled across the country for this event our days would be much better spent at a Park, even at Easter crowd levels.

On the bright side, we met some wonderful folks while camping on the concrete in the queues, and got some great photos of some absolutely amazing cosplays. But we will be thinking twice before attending another SWC, even as hardcore Star Wars fans, if it's going to be managed so poorly. We're going to DHS Monday for our Star Wars fix!

We had some really great experiences and some really bad.

Thursday for us was a disaster. We arrived to messages from friends warning us the lines to get in wrapped around twice. So we checked in to the hotel instead then went over to the convention.

From here, the disaster was the disorganization and NONE of the workers/volunteers having a clue what or where things were going on. We spent so much time being misdirected. Signage was poor. Lack of anyone directing people was poor. Only manager we found was a good and beverage one and while he was super nice and could tell us all about food, he didn't know answers to any of our nonfood questions.

We did minor panels and they were great!!

Went to the 501st swag meet and my guys had a great time.

Friday morning, we still couldn't find the medical entrance to the building. Actually, still don't know.

We got wristbands and ended up in a line where NOBODY had any clue what they were in line for. Eventually, we ended up in the exhibition hall. Which was cool with us. But it sure would have been nice to know. No staff was present until 30 minutes into the line, and they didn't know where we'd end up. Just said we'd merge with the medical line up ahead.

Once that line ended up at the Exhibition Hall, the rest of the day was great. 501st banquet was nice that evening.

Saturday was great!! We were directed by staff to the medical queue after security and wrist bands. The panels we saw were so much fun! We left the convention around 8pm feeling we had a most excellent day.

This morning, I grabbed the badges and got wristbands at 7am. Then headed back to my sleeping son and dh. We'll head over around 10am. I look forward to another exciting day! Now that we know what's going on. And staff knows, things are going so much smoother!

My Celebration is over as I'm heading to Dhs in an hour or so. Had a blast at the show and can't wait to do it again soon. Saw a ton of cool things, met awesome people and had a blast.

Biggest problem for me was standing in line to get in the show for two hours on Thursday. I think Reed Pop does adjust on many things very quickly.

Coolest thing this weekend was seeing Daisy Ridley on the Heroines of Star Wars panel and watching Harrison Ford from the Live stage during the 40th.

Hearing from lots of Veterans they want Disney directly to run it. Wondering what some Veteran attendees are thinking about the show.

Bye bye Celebration. I had a BLAST. Heard a lot of complaints about autograph lines, I attended so many panels and all of them were amazing. The droid panel today was super fun and actually saw and got the nerve to ask Pablo Hidalgo for a picture, he was just walking around no one around him. He was very gracious and we took our picture and I thanked him for all his amazing work. It's been fun guys

No panels and no autographs here. Tried to buy them on Thursday and Saturday but lines were so rediculous on Thursday that you couldn't make it through to buy a ticket before autographingn was over. Saturday there was just nothing available.

Saturday I got in line for the Celebration Store at 10:30 am and exited with 90% of what I wanted at 3:50 pm. They were out of the Last Jedi shirts and were not doing on demand ordering Saturday so kind of mad to wake up to tweets today saying they started it today. Only other thing I couldn't get was the Luke celebration shirt in my fiance's size and the Jen Erso shirt in mine. Was told the heruniverse jacket will be available online soon and given a discount code. Too bad the discount code expires before the new Star Wars stuff launches (by 1 day).

Besides that I had a ton of fun. I got to see so much and even though we saw no panels and got no autographs the other fans were super friendly and helped out when I was standing in line alone. The only thing I didn't get that I really wanted was the Finn pin they had at the sphero booth. I also missed seeing my favorite blogger in cosplay because we left early both days she was there.

On top of that galactic nights was one of my top 5 nights at Disney. The event was great and I even saw Hayden Christensen and Ray Park while enjoying the bar they had set up at the brown derby.

Sounds like you had a good time! The lines were a problem. Today was empty, so the lines were great!

It would be great if Disney had Reed Pop print out a guide for volunteers and staff lounge Disney does for cm. That way if you ask a question, the answer is at their fingertips. Better signs and more people directing foot traffic would have been helpful.

It would be super cool if the many groups (ex. 501st, Rebel Legion, Mandalorean Mercs, etc.) were the Pop Reed volunteers. Can you imagine? Stormtroopers saying move along directing traffic with a handler.

We had an amazing time. Awesome you met Pablo!!! We would have loved to meet him. We were able to do the Dave Filoni signing this morning!! He is such a great guy. Loveee him. My kids had such a great time they did not want to leave the building and kept on taking selfies lol
