A Different Trip

This trip will be a little different for me. I am tagging along with a friend who will be attending a conference at the Dolphin - we will be staying there as well. It's also a short trip Nov 1 - 4. My friend is not a Disney person - I think she has only been once or twice. - the last time was in 2006. I have a 2 day park hopper ticket but the friend will be purchasing "after 2 pm" tickets for conference attendees a few days before we arrive.

Our flight arrives around 2 on Wed and we have tickets for MNSSHP for Wed night. I know we can get into MK after 4 so will head there after checking in at hotel. So that day is set.

She wants to go to Animal Kingdom - it is the only park she hasn't been to. She is also interested in Food & Wine at Epcot but she has a nut allergy and I am not sure how much she will be able to eat at the booths.

My friend has conference events on Thursday and Friday but will be finished Thurs at 2:30 and Friday at 3:30. I was thinking Epcot on Thursday and AK on Friday to avoid the Friday night Food & Wine crowds.

But now I am rethinking this - switching our AK day to Thurs so we have the max amount of time in that park as it is only open until 8. I am not a fan of RoL but I think my friend should see it for herself. Then we would go to Epcot Food and Wine on Fri night. It is also Food & Wine half marathon weekend so not sure how the Friday night crowd will be affected by that. How are the crowds in general on Friday night? On another trip I was in Epcot during Food & Wine on a Saturday and it was not a pleasant experience - you just had to go with the flow.

Any advice or opinion is welcome.

We'll be there that Fri but we will spend the late afternoon/evening in WS, I doubt the marathon impacts crowds there, Fri is the busiest weekday as is, Sat the worst of all. I think Thurs will be your best bet for F&W if crowds are a concern for you.
