A Different Target question re: gift cards

If I buy Disney gift cards at Target with my red card debit card, do I get 5% off those? I realize it's not much money, but it's a reason to buy them there rather than, say, Kroger. (I've got a balance to pay off on my trip, and if I can get an extra couple hundred bucks for buying gift cards at Target and paying off the trip that way, well, I will.

Wow! That's good to know! I think I'll get one before our trip. 5% off is a lot better than 1% back for Disney rewards. It works as a debit card, right? Not a credit card?

And do they have higher value cards available? I don't want to pay off my $4000 balance with $25 gift cards.

debit card works too but I have only seen up to $50 gift cards, they can be found back in electronics near the CDs.

Even better deal is if you get the additional 5% off coupon from the pharmacy rewards. By using that you can get 10% off! The other night I did that and my 4 $10 Target GC coupons. I ended up getting $550 in Disney GC for $495 and another $50 in Target GC. The cashier scanned my last $10 coupon twice saying "You have such a high total I'll scan this again" I didn't argue! I also scored 3- $8 off $80 coupons that the register prints off for the transactions to use int he future! Score!

Yes they do, Target now carrys Disney, Itunes, restaurants such as Longhorns, Chilies, Applebees, Outbacks, and other entertainment cards such as Facebook credits. Some of these might be regional so you will have to check your Target to see what they have, The majority of them are located back in electronics near the CDs my Targets have them on the end of an aisle faceing the wall of DVDs, others are up at the checkout lines.
