A different soda mug question....

Can you bring your mug into the bars in the evenings and get free refills? Or is it only a "by the pool" kind of thing. If you can get it filled in the bars would you then tip them? I imagine we'll probably buy drinks in the evening but we may want to just have soda sometimes and I wondered if this was bad manners to use the mugs in the bars.

Not sure if the bars refill them but if we pay $35 for the mug you can be darn sure we will bring it with us.

Yes the bars refill them and if you want you can add a shot of vodka, bourben or whatever to your soda for an additional 2.99!
At least that was the case on our recent Aug 31 st cruise.

Yes, you can bring your soda mugs to any bar area that has fountain sodas - I did carry a few dollars just in case. At times I had some cast members go out of their way to make sure my soda mug was always full. They looked quite surprised when I threw a few dollars onto their tray.

yes you can take them everywhere (including on castaway cay )...
all the bars refill them....
there were even people sitting in the theatre at night for the shows with a full mug...
personally i don't like dragging a mug around with me so i didn't buy one (the assistant waiter gave me so many refills of diet coke at dinner i was prerty much set for a month's soda consumption let alone a day's worth)...
but my husband did buy one....he didn't use it much on the ship, but he did refill it about a gazillion times on castaway cay.....
as for me and the kids, we liked the water and ice on deck 9....
(my kids don't drink pop anyway so they didn't need mugs...at home they drink bottled water....they stopped drinking pop about 4 or 5 years ago, when i began buying bottled water...they prefer water to pop...go figure.....meanwhile their dad and i go through cases of diet coke)...
