A different room request question (I think)

I was wondering if anyone who's done the land/sea package had made a room request. Should I even attempt it or do the "cruise people" have to "take what they get"? We'll be staying at the Polynesian and judging from the replies I received on a couple similar questions, it seems like garden view rooms are what's included in this package. Did anyone ever request a Lagoon view room with this package?

I guess it couldn't hurt to try, but I was just curious if anyone had first-hand experience with this? I do realize that whatever room we get, the Polynesian is a great resort, but I just figured if we could request a room, we may as well put in for our first choice of room location.

Thanks for any info you can share! :D

We did the cruise/land for our honeymoon and our travel agent was able to get us a better room by request. If you did this yourself you may want to ask the cruise director to help you. you didn'y say whether youy were doing the cruise or land first. If you are doing land first, it never hurts to make a request. If they can't fill your request then you are no worse off than you would have been without asking. If they do fill it you will be pleasantly surprised.

Have fun, relax and enjoy yourself that what it's all about.

Thanks jdkdorn!

We are doing the land part first and we booked through a AAA travel agent so I guess I could either ask her to make the request for us or I could do it myself. (After a "situation" with a PS last month, I'd probably do it myself.) Thank you for replying and sharing your experience with me. :D

DISNEY GUEST-

Uh-oh! Could you define "terrible view rooms"? By this, do you mean "no view" like a parking lot or something? Or worse? Have you stayed in a specific room or building that you're specifically referencing here? I guess having a parking lot or something like that as a "view" wouldn't be the end of the world or anything but I was just wondering exactly what you meant by that. I'm not stressing over it or anything... you just got me curious now. ;)
