A different kind of theme park question

Do you wear make-up to the parks? Do you wear make-up everday to work or to just be at home? I mean, your going to be in how many pictures while on vacation and you want to look good right?

I wear make-up for special occasions only (I may slap on some eyeliner if I feel like I look like crap) and would take forever to get ready on vacation if I had to put on make-up each morning. I stay at home with my kids all week and work weekends but have never been a make-up person.

Do you suggest wearing anything to look a little better ? I will be wearing sunblock but maybe I could look a little better too?

I do wear makeup at home but only when we go out.

As for on vacation, I only wear makeup if we are going out to a nice meal & I am dressing up.

As for pictures, most of them do not get a close up of my face, so makeup or not it does not matter. Plus I usually wear my sunglasses anyway...LOL!

Not saying I *need* makeup to look good (I am not that ugly...LOL!), but I like to wear it when I am out of the house.

But in pictures are the parks it does not matter since like I said, there are no close ups of my face.

I do wear sunblock, and frankly if I wore makeup in the parks I would probably sweat it off my afternoon, and that is NOT a good look!

If we were up really late the night before I may throw on some concealer under my eyes or something. But those late nights are a thing of the past since we had our son in 2003.

Mascara is a MUST for me. I wear makeup whenever I go anywhere, not because I'm a "hag" without it (!) but because I prefer to look decent, not like I just rolled out of bed. I do it for me...........always.

Matter of fact.........I'm gonna write up legal paperwork that says they must apply mascara before they turn me into ashes!

By the end of the day, EVERYONE at the parks looks like they've been run through the wringer! So I don't think "looking nice" is on my priority list at the parks.

Having said that, I will usually put on some light makeup in the morning before we leave for the park. Maybe a shimmery sunblock, a dab of powder bronzer, and some tinted lip gloss. It's all gone in an hour anyway, but at least it makes me feel decent going out the door!

I usually throw some base makeup on when I go out. I buy one that has some sort of spf code on it. It just helps to not look so blotchy

I wear makeup every day if I am going out of the house. I wear it every day on vacation, even to a water park (waterproof makeup!). I just look better with a little makeup on so if I'm having several pictures taken of me a day, I want to look my best. I certainly don't trowel it on, but a little tinted moisturizer, some lip balm and neutral lipstick, and a little mascara are nice. If it's muggy I bring skin blotters and a little powder because my skin is oily and pics of me with my face totally obscured by the blinding sun light reflecting off my skin go right in the garbage...

Because it is so hot i really hate to wear makeup (pore clogging,melting etc) but I feel the same way about the pictures and overall I don't want to look schleppy.

I will use a tinted moistuizer (like neutrogena) for a little color and i also use these tubes (i think they are also from neutrogena!!) that are like sheer shimmery neutral color that can go anywhere on your face...I put some on my eyes and occaisonaly on my lips...if I feel like doing a little more I will put on some waterproof mascara (maybelline is my favorite..it is better than any dept brand)

It really only takes about 5 mins and you will look great!!!

I always wear make up, and it only takes about 5 minutes for me. Yes, I need it!I wear make-up that has sunscreen in it and is sweat proof, and also waterproof mascara. Do whatever you are comfortable with, and have lots of fun!

No, I don't wear make-up at the parks. I will put on some moisturizer, sunblock, and chap stick, but that is about it. I don't even do my hair. I pull it back in a pony tail and I wear a visor. Other then carrying some extra weight, I think I look fine in pics. If make up made my butt look smaller I'd wear it everyday.

At home, I am a SAHM. I don't wear makeup to clean use, change diapers, and do grocery shopping...although, I do sometimes wear dd's barbie tiara . I figure cleaning house while wearing a tiara makes me Cinderella

I do wear make up if we are having a family gathering, go out to dinner, and to church. In fact, if I'm putting make up on ds, 7, is asking where I'm going .

I don't go out much and when I do, I would have my full make-up on. So this means that when I go on vacation, yes, I put on my make-up. As far as swimming, I only put my body and not my head in the water. I just put foundation on and just a little bit of mascara and a little bit of lipstick. I just want to look nice in the public.

As far as hair, I don't take too much time with my hair. I just brush it and let it air dry. I seldom blow-dry my hair nor put any sprays or mousse or anything like that.

I take just the very basic's with me and last trip got the picture's in front of the castle done when we first got in the park so we all still looked nice.

I wear make up everyday even if I'm just staying home. So, yes, I wear it to amusement parks. I don't wear a lot and it only takes 5 to 10 minutes to put it on.

For the sake of not scaring the general public and sending them into shock, yes I wear makeup. I'm kidding. Yes I wear make up everyday and I have to blow dry my hair or I look like Simba or even worse...

I second the tinted moisturizer. In fact, I LOVE Prescriptives Skin Tint. That and a little mascara and tinted lip balm makes me a happy camper. And no joke, it takes me about three minutes -- tops.

If we change for dinner, I add a little lipstick, liner, cheek stain, etc, to my regimen, just as I do for work.

But I take really good care of my skin, so it looks fine without makeup. I like to enhance what I have, not change how I look.

And I never wear makeup at home. Once I walk in the door, I literally take off my shoes, let out the dogs, then go wash my face and change into my comfy clothes. We're a pretty laid-back family!

I own makeup, but never wear it....Last time i wore makeup, i broke out and swore never to wear it again...

I never wear more than mascara. I can't imagine wearing a lot of makeup to the parks when its warm. It won't stay on for long.

Hello,

I dont wear makeup unless I am going out for a meal etc and even then it will be the bare minimum.

But as on holiday you have a lot of pictures taken I do want to look my best so I have my eyelashes tinted before I go, this saves the hassle of applying and re-applying mascara but keeps my eyes looking good all day.
