A different kind of fairy?

So we are scrambling to leave town a day early ahead of the winter storm that is due to hit NC...

In this midst of all this it looks like my DD5 will be losing her first tooth while we are at WDW.

Does anyone know if "outside" fairies like the tooth fairy are allowed in WDW and Ft. Wilderness? Or does Tinkerbell :tinker: handle those duties?

Florida weather predictions are looking great! Just have to stay ahead of the snow and ice!

As long as the fairy doesn't arrive in a large truck with a non-Disney logo on the side I don't think there will be a problem. If, like Kenny, the fairy keeps a low profile and simply slips in, removes the tooth and leaves, then the fairy should be fine. It's when the fairy tries to draw too much attention to her non-Disney sanctioned activites, that the fairy is going to get busted.
The fairy could also agree to outsource the work to one of Disney's many resident fairies. Perhaps Tinkerbell could leave a Disney dollar under the pillow? I think you can still buy those in some of the gift shops.

My DD(7) has lost two teeth at the Fort. It must have been Tinkerbell handling the duties, because there were Disney Dollars left and that only happens at WDW.:tinker:

For the right price I'd bet that Disney would send the mouse himself to yank that tooth.

The Disney side: this is what I would tell any kid that said a tooth was loose...

"Because we have our own fairies that take care of so many things here at Disney, and well the Tooth Fairy has the rest of the world, Tink takes care of it for the Tooth Fairy. But the best part about Tink coming, is you get disney money instead of the other stuff."

This is the point in time when kid's eyes get huge and their jaw drops. And well the parents are looking at me like I'm nuts and trying to figure out what the heck "disney dollars" are. It was so great to see those two looks at the same time.

Just head to any guest relations, and you swap out real money for disney money... dollar for dollar. And the kids can use it any where on property, pretty much.

Thanks for the tips & ideas. I don't think I'll be hiring any dental mice.

Searching around the rest of the forums (that aren't as fun as the camping forum) there are some good stories & ideas about Tinkerbell's duties as tooth fairy.

Our tooth fairy usually brings a dollar and some other small goodies. Is there anything Disney sells that is a dollar or less?

Tink is very jealous. She does not allow other fairies to do business on her turf!
She is known to leave a trail of glittery green pixie dust while performing tooth fairy duties.
:tinker:

If you're into the pins, generally if you spend like 30$ or something on pins you can buy secret pins for just a 1$ more.

I'm sure there are things that are a couple of dollars, but I don't think you're gonna get away with just 1$. Dollar Tree seems to be selling a lot of Disney stuff lately, maybe you could make a trip there for a couple of things to go with the disney dollar.

Both our kids have lost teeth at WDW! Each time, Tink took over tooth fairy duty, leaving a note that explained why she was doing it. There was some fairy dust on cheeks and Disney Dollars involved too! Lots of magic!pixiedust:

:lmao:

I've heard that the tooth fairy contracts out work to Tink at WDW. ;)

I'm with you - Kat77 - she is a jealous fairy!!!
Didn't anyone see Peter Pan - she gets red hot when someone invades her territory!

Just got back from our trip last night...

They sell (pressed) pennies ....for 50 cents. :rotfl:

Funny you should mention this...

Turns out my daughter still has not lost the tooth.

But DS2.5 swallowed a pressed penny. :headache: Yes, swallowed! He's fine, and the penny was unharmed but we did not keep it!
