A delicate question but I need to ask

I would think that a guy would feel uncomfortable to see a little girl walking by him while he's at the urinal.

I'm a little puzzled by this statement. What is supposed to be difficult about it?I'm a SAHD of DD4, and I've never thought twice about taking her into a men's restroom, just as most people posting in this thread don't think twice about taking a young boy into a Women's restroom. It's not like guys are running wild in the bathroom with their pants around their ankles; they take care of their business at the urinal with nothing in sight at all. I've taken my daughter into literally hundreds of Men's bathrooms over the years and never had any problems at all.

Lol. My Mom likes to tell me the story of one time my Dad took me in the bathroom with him when I was little (the line at the ladies room was long...) and he covered my eyes going in and coming out of the bathroom :lmao:

For what it's worth, from someone without any children of my own, I never think twice about it when I see moms/grandmas with young boys OR girls (or both) in a ladies' room. Especially at a place like Disney. I wouldn't worry about it.

Ditto. I'm childless and I wouldn't have a problem with it. I think around 8 and up I would start to feel they're getting too old, but at 5? It wouldn't think twice.

A little insight into guy's bathrooms: when we're at the urinal, we are not looking around. Peripheral vision when using a urinal is almost zero. We are trained to stare straight ahead at the spot on the wall directly in front of us because you don't want to risk seeing another guy's business. :lmao:

I would never think twice about taking a son in with me (if I had one) and I think nothing of my husband taking our daughter in the bathroom with him if I'm not there.

Especially in a place like Disneyland, while not every man in there is a Dad, I'm sure they are just as respectful of the need to bring children in the bathroom as the women are. Happy Father's Day by the way!

LOL- I love it!:rotfl:

I can't imagine any man looking anywhere but at the wall in front of him while using the urinal. Although, I don't hang out in men's bathrooms, so I can't personally say.

As to them not "going wild" as another poster mentioned, that it too too funny! Ladies....what do we think happens in there? Men don't run around with their "boy parts" hanging out. Just like we don't run around with our "bit & pieces" showing.

I am a SAHM and I homeschool our 7 year old boy. That means that I am literally with my child 24/7. I don't get a break to go to the grocery store while he's at school, I can't do laundry in peace or shower after he's left for the day. You get my drift...and with a husband who works 60+ hours per week (he's even at work now as I type this on Father's Day) that means that my son goes into the Ladies Restroom ALL the time.

If I have gotten stares from other women, I honestly don't notice and I really don't care. My child's safety comes above all else. We use separate stalls and then he waits for me right outside my stall or I wait for him outside his. He doesn't get to lolligag & run wild- we have business to attend to.;)

Our local swimming pool has a sign saying ages 7 and up must use their own locker room, so I used that as a guide when my son was little.

No way, no how, would I send my 7 yr old in a locker room by themselves. Now I get that a locker room is a much different experience then a bathroom, but in that case my son would be changing in a woman's bathroom then in the locker room.
