What do you do with those dirty diapers in your room? Do you really leave them in those small waste baskets in your room? I would find his very unappealing especially if housekeeping has already cleaned the room. Help!

I guess what I really want to know is if there's a better way at the resort to dispose of diapers. Thanks.

I've never done the diaper thing at a resort; so, please help.

Just take some plastic sacks from your local grocery store, put the diaper in it and tie it up, then throw it in the trash. You could always take the sack with the diaper in it when you leave and throw it in an outside trash bin.

We will take any diapers that might linger out to an outdoor garbage can, preferably wrapped in a plastic bag.

When we were staying in a hotel this is what we did....
We got those blue Duck bags that you can get at Target. (In the baby section)They are scented. We would wrap them in them and then also have a kitchen trash bag that we would put them all in and leave in the extra trash can.

We also always have those duck bags when we are going anywhere for the day etc... we always keep our dirty diapers wrapped in them and then take them to where we can get rid of them or at home. Love the Duck bags!!!!! We just get the refills not the whole containers etc.
I think they are better than other scented bags I have tried.

I also always get them for people for showers etc. They are great!

I put them in ziplock freezer bags and walked them to the large outside trash cans. I am so sensitive to smell it has to go outside but I don't want to offend the people at the coke and ice machines! Regular grocery store bags don't hold in the odor.

Yes, I always used the scented trash bags to wrap the dirty dipes in. They come in a roll and pack easily. And definitely toting them to an outside trash can is nice to do. If you are driving, you can always bring your own Diaper Genie!

Worst thing I have seen is these people who put them outside their doors or even on room service trays!:sad2: So nasty!

Good luck, I don't miss those days of travelling with a diapered child. Although at least the line for our one hotel room bathroom was shorter!

Yep, we tied them up good in a plastic bag and ran them to an outside bin as well.

Bingo....we put all the diapers in a store plastic garbage bag, tie it off, and leave it in the outdoor trash. You can't smell 'em, and housekeeping doesn't need to handle them.

When DD5 was in diapers and pull-ups, I would double bag the offending item and put it in a plastic bag by the trash can. If it was a particularly bad smelling offending item, I would double bag it and walk it outside to an outdoors garbage pail that was not at an outside bar, pool, playground or food area. I confess that once at AKL I did leave it in a garbage pail near the designated smoking area without a twinge of guilt.
