not sure what all you are looking for, but the above suggestions are great, additionally The Erie Playhouse is performing Irving Berlin's White Christmas this weekend. It is a small but wonderful venue to see plays.

The zoo is closed at this time of year (but do come back in summer, it's a fantastic zoo)
We have an indoor family sports park,
www.familyfirstsportspark.com, it has indoor mini golf and a golf dome, lots of other fun stuff during summer time as well.
Take a drive around Presque Isle, it is beautiful,
ride up on the tower at the bottom of State Street, if it's not snowing and a clear day you can see Canada.
Holiday D'lights might start this weekend and that brings a lot of fun to 'downtown' (State Street)
The Erie Art Museum is beautiful of course.
We have some wonderful places to eat, as DH said above, Molly Branigan's has wonderful Irish food, Calao's is fabulous Italian food.
I could go on forever, this is a fantastic town, winter time does take a little bit of thought, but anywhere you end up you'll get a smile!
Have fun and if you need any more info -- PM DH or I.
It is supposed to snow rather nicely this weekend, so do be care, it will be our first real snow of the year and everyone forgets how to drive!
