Hello everyone. My husband and I are taking our 4 year old twin girls to Disney in September of this year. My parents will be meeting up with us about halfway through our trip. My plan is to have my parents take the girls 1 day so that my husband and I can have some time together since we will be there on our 10th anniversary. I was wanting to do a couples massage at the Senses spa at the Grand Floridian but not sure if we should do this in the morning or afternoon. What other things would you do if you had a day at Disney alone without the kids?

Happy Anniversary early! Since you will be there during Food and Wine, I would go Eat/Drink Around the World! My hubby and I loved it! I would recommend going on a week day however, the weekends are crazy at Epcot during Food and Wine!

You might also check out some of the tours, we plan to do Keys to the Kingdom at some point. Dinner at California Grill during MK fireworks is awesome too!

I agree with tannerandcatesmom, all great suggestions. I LOVE Food and Wine and there are a lot of presentations and things that you can do as a couple if you were interested. Usually special packages are released closer to the dates as well so you feel like a VIP.

The tours are nice but can take most of the day depending on which one you choose. I did one of the fireworks cruises when they first came out and it was really enjoyable. The dessert parties with fireworks viewing or a dinner reservation at a restaurant with fireworks viewing is also romantic and fun. I'd schedule the massage in the evening before your dinner plans so you can feel like a pampered princess.

Happy anniversary! I hope your family has a great time and you and your husband have a lovely, memorable night.

During our last trip, we enjoyed wandering through Disney Springs so much more than I expected to. Slow walking, buying a new Disney t-shirt, popping in to a restaurant for a drink one place and a dessert another.

Are you on the DDP? If not, that's Magical Dining Month and I would either visit one of the participating Disney restaurants (there were 4 last year - the Swan/Dolphin ones, Morimotos, and STK) or my personal non-Disney favorite, Deep Blu, and have a wonderful, value-priced 3 course dinner. Deep Blu is my favorite place to celebrate my wedding anniversary, and I've done it 3 times and had AMAZING service each time. You can see last year's participating restaurants/price (and as a bonus, $1 of every meal is given to a local charity, so it's win-win-win!)

Do MNSSHP, the halloween party might be too dark for a 4 year old but my husband and I did it on our anniversary trip and it was fun. The halloween parade is fun and seeing villian characters you don't usually get to meet was great too. We even did the trick or treating and we never felt that we were too old for it. It was fun. Plus bonus halloween fireworks.

IMO I would not do a message. I never want to move after one I just want to lay around (Yeah I'm lazy that way). A tour could be good idea or a desert party. For our likes we would do a fancy table service. We did V&A once and loved it, great for a milestone aniv.(wish we could afford it again). F&W is very adult themed. Happy Anniversary.

We love the massages but we don't to couples anymore. Even though you're together you're kind separate. We just did Victoria and Alberts it was once and a lifetime expensive but it was absolutely romantic. I loved getting dressed up, if you're adventurous and a foodie it's great. We were in the queen Victoria room next to the fireplace.

I second this suggestion! DW and I have had many a pleasant wander around the World Showcase. Whether you decide to Eat/Drink Around the World or pause for a meal in one of the restaurants I think you will have a wonderful time.

Congratulations on your 10th and have a magical visit!
