Hey everyone. This almost turned out to be a Busch Gardens report as that was my original plan for today but on Friday night we decided to skip it and did WDW instead. Had no real plan either.

As usual slept in as I have been really tired recently. We had to re-sign our lease and after getting gas (in the car :) ) we were on our way. Hit WDW at about 2pm. Parked at DD and headed for the bus. On the way to the bus stop we decided to go to MGM and catch Indiana Jones and Muppets and then work from there. We figure we would catch the first bus that came and then catch an MGM bus from that resort. An almost empty bus headed for Boardwalk/Coronado pulled up so we prepare to board it. Now anyone that takes bus transportation knows that there are 2 doors. The one in the rear is for exiting and wheelchairs only. Well this driver pulled up and only opened that door. I waited patiently as did about 5 other people and saw the driver write a few things and close the rear door and pull off. NEVER OPENED THE DOOR!!!!!    I was livid!! Worst part was there were people on the bus and they just looked at me!!!  So I sit back down and try to calm down and take the next bus..Swan/Dolphin/Yacht/Beach. Get off at the Yacht Club and take the boat to MGM. On the boat there was a map for MGM so we checked it out and saw an Indiana Jones show at 3:45. It was just now 3. We get into the park and head for the show and get a front seat sitting next to a small child and his dad. A large group sits behind us and I get a weird feeling that this was going to be bad. I was right. I was kicked and elbowed the entire show and one of the ladies could not shut up. She talked the entire show. We almost left bu decided to stick it out. I probably won't be back for a long time...Next stop Muppets. A cute funny show as usual. Where is the doormat? We walked around a bit and checked out the hat. They are adding something yellow to it..looks like it will say 100 possibly. Figured we would check out TOT. 13 min wait. Love that. Walked on and were shown to our elevator. Was on with a carfull of first time riders. Very funny to hear the reactions. I was the only one not griping on for dear life in the photo..LOL..We decided to leave as it was close to 5 and I was kinda hungry. We got lucky and there was a Wilderness Lodge bus waiting. Jumped aboard and reached the Lodge about 5:15 or so. Dinner special at Roaring Forks wasn't until 6:30 so we figured we would check out River Country as my fiance has never seen it. Well I guess transportation was out to get us. We just missed the FW boat so we caught the boat going to Contemp then FW. Finally docked at 6pm. To late for RC. Oh well. Went to the Tri-Circle D barn (may favprite spot in WDW) and petted some horses. They are the biggest most gorgeous animals. A white horse has stuck his head over and was wanting a rub down so I happly obliged. Now I know you aren't supposed to pet them but I have never had any trouble with them. Of course one of the large Percheron'd got jealous and wanted a rub down to. He was HUGE:earseek: and he head was huge and he was VERY strong. I rubbed them a bit more and said good-bye with both look over there stalls at us..LOL..Very Cute. It was now 6:30 and it was dinner time so back to the Lodge. Of course we had to got to the Contemp first..Got my favorite Open-faced Tukey..YUMMMMM:) :) A must have for anyone at the Lodge on Sat nights. We decided to check out MK so we caught the boat, stopping first at FW. On the way there we saw a family talking to there 4 kids saying "Last time we were here the castle was a big birthday cake"...LOL. We followed the crowd and entered. It was after 7pm and didn't seem too crowded. We grabbed a FP for Space Mountain with a 8:50-9:50 return time. Next stop..Carousel. A classic. A cute ride. We decided to skip the Mansion and went to Big Thunder. Before that, we had brought some stale bread with us and fed the ducks near Tom Sawyer Island. Then waited about 10 mins for Big Thunder. We would have done Splash but it was 35mins so we hopped the Railroad as it was almost time for our FP. We departed at Mickeys Toonfair or whatever its called and checked out Minnies house then went to Tommorowland. We headed for SM and saw a HUGE:earseek: line..HMMM...The ride was down...So we hung out a bit when a great idea hit me. We went on the Peoplemover and got to see the INSIDE:earseek: :earseek: :bounce:  of SM. REALLY NEAT!! We stayed on for a second go around but the ride was dark the second time through. The line never did move. We decided to call it a night and left hoping to avoid most of the crowd. Hit the monorail and got off at CR. Took a bus to DD. Also got a Brand New Bus!! A first. Once at DD we went into Pi and got in line for Comedy Warehouse. The show was just not funny. We wandered about for a few and went to the Adventurers Club! Kungaloosh!! I love this place. We had tons of interaction and stayed to the end. The club president was very taken with my fiance and kept huggin him..LOL..If you have never spent any time here..GO!! It is well worth it and I cannot wait to go back. We went to the sing-a-long at the end and got into it. We had a great time. We left about 1:30 and headed home.

Well another weekend has gone. If anyone has been faithfully reading( I know who you are!!) you may have noticed we haven't been to EPCOT in almost a month. The reason is we are having family come down from NJ on 6/27 and we are going to EPCOT with them and we want to have at least some anticipation. We also will be doing a waterpark too. A full trip report will follow our families mixed up WDW trip.

Until Next week this is
Your WDW Weekly Warrior... ....Signing OFF!!

Dax - I have to ask - is the Open Turkey really that good???

I love these trip reports! Sorry to hear that the transportation is obviously still problematic :( :(

The Open Faced Turkey is THAT good. The turkey is smoked from there smokehouse and the bread is toasted and tastes heavenly...MMMMMM....The mashed potatoes normally are good too but this week they were Red Skin and had HUGE chunks of potato and were runny too...Otherwise it ROCKS. Best $5.50 ever spent on food and beats sitting in the park to eat

DAX,
Thanks for the report! Was the turkey sandwich only available at night? At Roaring Forks? I want to have one next time I'm there!

According to the guy who was a manager there he said it is the Dinner special on Saturday nights. Get it. You won't regret it.

I always tune in on Mondays to see these - even when I think I've had a great weekend - it never beats what you get to do!

I hope if you do go to Bush Gardens you'll post about that (or is that a no-no) I haven't been in about 10 years and would love to hear about it.

thanks!

Thanks, Dax, I will have to try the Adventurers Club some time. Always hear good things about it, but never there. Thanks again.
