Given the current 50% per contract borrowing restriction...if I borrow 1/2 my 2023 points, and transfer the other 1/2 to another DVC owner, would the transferred points be subject to any restrictions for the receiver?

The real problem is transferred points cannot be borrow to make a reservation. The reservation must start on the 1st of the UY valid start date if transferred out.

In this case, the reservation must start in 2023, which BTW, nobody is eligible yet to transfer out 2023 UY points.

Great3

I am guessing that you have multiple memberships and were hoping to discover a way around the borrowing restrictions. But as the others have posted, it won't work. The recipient of the transferred points cannot borrow them.

Thanks! I didn't know the receiver couldn't borrow transferred points - good to know. I'm not so much trying to find a way around the borrowing restrictions...just looking for a creative but legitimate solution. I want to book a GV for late 2022 and would have enough points if not for the rule.

Then getting a transfer into your account of points that are valid for that trip will work. Just remember they keep their own UY and resort.

For a trip in late 2022, you can pretty much get a transfer of any 2022 UY points and they will work!
