What is the difference between a tower room and garden room at the CR. I know the tower rooms have better views, are part of the main building, etc. but I'm wondering if there are any differences in the actual rooms, such as size, ammenities?

We probably won't spend much time in our room - just to sleep and shower, so is a tower room worth the extra money?

We're staying in a garden room next year... I don't know if the rooms are different, but we're staying 8 nights for the cost of SIX in the tower... That's a pretty good trade-off considering you still get the CR, with the monorail, location, etc.

Just my opinion...

I am pretty sure the rooms are the same. It's the view/location that's different. People in the tower are paying extra for the view and convenience to the monorail.

Yes, rooms the the tower & garden wing are the same in regards to their size, bedding, layout, and color schemes. The major difference is that all tower rooms have balconies and none of the wing rooms have them (with the exception of a few suties).

If you are able to get 2 extra nights for the price of staying in the tower room vs. the garden you are doing the right thing!! I would stay in the garden area but when we are going in the fall the only view available is the tower (which will be awesome but more expensive). It's all so close to the MK you will be happy no matter what!!:)

As mentioned earlier, the rooms are exactly the same, except you get a balcony in the tower. The only difference is the convenience of being in the main building and better views you get by staying in the tower. IMHO the tower is worth the upgrade even for the park commando because of the added convenience. Staying in the Tower might be worth the upgrade. While it is only a 5-10 minute walk to the wings, it is so much easier to just get off the monorail and just get on the elevator to your room, instead of walking to the wing and then walking to your room. The tower rooms are also closer to the bus stop.

As other have mentioned the rooms in the Tower and South Garden Wing are exactly the same, so the only difference is the location of the rooms and their cost per night. If you want to be technical the standard rooms and suite rooms on the 14th floor Tower Club are the only rooms in the Contemporary that do not have the same design as all the other rooms do.
