We just got back of our best trips ever!

The crowds were so much lighter than we expected ( the 5-10) The lines were short and we didn't wait for much of anything.

We talked to so many CMs from around the world agt EPCOT-- they are just soooooo nice! We even exchanged email addresses with a few!

Everything was very clean!

I think the bus service stunk. Worse than usual.

We bought a Pal Mickey and had a blast with it.

If you are considering an August trip consider the rain! This was our 2nd August trip and I'd say it's the worst thing about that time of year.

E ticket nights were fabulous! We had the park pretty much to ourselves!

All in all, a wonderful time was had by all!

I'm leaving next week for my first August trip. I usually go off season. You mention the rain being bad - how bad was it? Was it just the typical afternoon thunderstorm or worse? I'm hoping to survive the heat, but wasn't too concerned about the rain.

I'm more used to the typical afternoon thundershowers in June -- this is worse -- well, I'm basing my answer on this year and last. The skies looked threatening alot of the time and you really never knew when the skies would open up. One entire afternoon was shot because of lightening and heavy rain. We just pretty much got used to getting wet!:D We had a great time, though; honest!

Where did you stay? I am always amazed when people complain about the bus service. I must live a charmed life because we LOVE the buses!

This has been a horrible summer for rain this year. Usually we get the afternoon rains and then it quits, We are 8 inches above normal for rainful in Aug. and it is only the 10th! I now have a newly formed lake in my back yard.............anyone for some bass fishing?:p This is not a typical summer in FL and from what I have read most areas up north have not had a typical summer either.
Hopefully those 2 tropical storms sitting in the gulf veer away from FL since we do not need any more rain in this area.........Hopefully upon your arrival it will dry up!

July was something like the 3rd wettest in history here. It has been very strange - almost tropical type humidity without the warmth!

I have worn shorts about 3 times this summer...thank goodness for capris! Warmth combined with cellulite coverage.

I wasn't thrilled with bus service either, and that was at POR in November. I thought the worst was waiting for our resort bus from Epcot two night in a row. From that point on, we drove and were much happier. A bit easier with the whole collapsing the stroller thing.

Glad to hear you had a great trip in spite of the rain.

Welcome home!! I'm glad to hear you had such a wonderful trip. I was really surprised to read about short lines though! I always thought that August was still really crowded in the parks. I would like to go in August sometime just because it's our anniversary month, but I don't know if I could handle the heat and humidity. Thanks for the report!!

We came back on the 7th and had no problem with the buses at all from POR. And though it was cloudy every single day for a week, it only rained for 5-10 minutes and by the time it took to put out ponchos on, it had stopped. I guess it's just how you hit it. We missed most of Epcot because dd was bored and by the time we made it to ws, we had all reached the cranky/hot/time to go back to the hotel state. I am glad you had a great time though.::MinnieMo

We went to WDW last month. We had very little rain. Our only real complaint was the bus service. We stayed at the Dolphin but also used the bus from the Swan. A few times we had to wait 40 minutes for a bus. Never had this problem in the past. ::MickeyMo
