A Couple of ??'s on the recent mailouts

Hi, folks!

Two questions on the tri-fold "Disney's Beach Club Villas" mailout (the one with the points schedule in the middle.)

On the inside front cover - the "Artist's Rendering" of BCV. What body of water is it that's shown here on the opposite side of the fence from the pool?

Also. On the map shown in here. Normally, we take "the back way" to get to WL from OKW -- Bonnet Creek Dr to Vista Blvd to the WL entrance. Do you see that "Big Pine Dr" they've got listed here, that appears to extend from the WL all the way to Ft Wilderness? Does that road really exist? It appears to parallel the walking path around the lake - but I've never noticed it...

Lastly. On the "postcards mailout." The magnet they included. Do any of you know why the center of the magnet is "pre-cut?" Are you supposed to remove that and put a picture in there, maybe?

As I have yet to receive what you did on BCV or that magnet you mention, I cannot answer for those. As to Big Pine Drive, that is the road used by the busses to go between FW and WL (and on to TTC) and has been there a very long time. Guests cannot use it with their cars.

I assumed the magnet center was for a picture. As for the water you see, I believe that is the canal. Look at the other page included, the one that is titled "Disney's Beach Club Villas opens this Summer..." and I believe that will give you a pretty good prospective.

Thanks, drusba. We aren't "bus" people - to WDW <i>or</i> he*l - so I never noticed that road. Guess I'll have to hop a bus sometime just to experience it!

And, Dean. Thanks for the tip - but I still can't grasp which direction I'm looking at this resort. Is that the canal that the boats take up to Intl Gateway? I didn't realize the new resort would be so visible from there...

The way I look at it, it appears to be taken basically from the road in front of the resort from the parking lot area. The canal is the one on the parking lot side and is more of a drainage ditch than a waterway. If you come out of the front door of the BC, cross the bridge like you're going to your car and turn right. Go all the way down the road past the BCV (on your right) and go almost to the service road. Now turn around and look back at BCV and the guest drop off area. The parking lot will be behind you to your right and the BC hotel will be behind the BCV in front of you.
