Hi Girls! :wave2:

Just wondered as I have heard a few different things:

1. Do you sign the registar on your wedding day?
2. If so do you sign in your married or maiden name?

Oh also I am just about to send off my wedding pack  and was wondering if both H2B and I needed to sign or just one of us?

Thanks in advance :goodvibes

in america you go to the courthouse, fill in a marriage license form (which is filled in your maiden name). its then typed up and you sign it. you give it to the officiant at your wedding, he signs it and returns it.
you fill things out in your maiden name, there is no "register" as such like there is in england.
hope that helps

Thanks Karen, So does that mean your official wedding date is the date you fill in the form or the day that your officiant signs it i.e. your actual wedding day.

Also just wanted to know about the wedding pack signatures do we need just one or both of us to sign it?

Thanks for your help

the official wedding day is the day that the officiant signs it, so its the day your ceremony takes place. the actual "marriage certificate" as such is just the marriage license you get from the courthouse with the officiants signature on it. i'd advise you to get some certified copies when you're at the courthouse, just in case. i got 4 cos theyre only $2.50 each.
not sure what you mean about the wedding pack? do you mean the planning pack disney sends you? i'd say to be on the safe side, get both of you to sign it, it wont hurt!
any other questions, feel free to ask or pm me, i'd be glad to help
