I have a few questions about my trip coming up. First question is how much time should I give for getting from MK to Chef Mickeys for our dinner reservation? Second is, I have a reservation at Rainforest DTD, we will be at HS that day, is there transportation there and how much time should I give myself to get there?

Its about a 10 minute walk from the MK to the Contemporary. Remember you should be there 15 minutes before your ADR time.

No transportation between parks and Downtown Disney. You woukd need to get to a resort, then from tge resort to the resraurant.

Allow time to get out of the park also. The 10 minute walk is from the MK gates.

There are two options for getting from the MK to the Chef Mickey's. The first is to walk; it's about half of a mile. The other option is to take the resort monorail from MK to Contemporary (first stop), but that's probably the longer option because you might have to wait for the monorail to arrive. If you walk, I think most folks can make it in 10-15 minutes, but I would allow 20-30 minutes so you can walk a leisurely pace and not feel rushed.

In terms of getting from DHS to DTD, that involved a transfer if you want to use Disney transportation. As others have said, there is no direct bus between DTD and any of the parks. However, there are several options:
  • Take the boat or walk to one of the Epcot resorts (BWI, YC, BC, S, D) and then take the bus to DTD. The shortest walk is a little less than a mile.
  • Take the bus from DHS to any other resort and then take a bus from that resort to DTD.
  • Take the bus to POR, POFQ, OKW, or SSR and then take a boat to DTD.
  • Take the bus to SSR and then walk to DTD
Otherwise, you can take a taxi from DHS to DTD. If you go with Disney transportation, I would allow about 90 minutes (45 minutes per leg of the journey). If you're taking a taxi, I would allow between 30-45 minutes.
