A couple fireworks pics...

In past years my neighbor has set off a very respectable display right in our cul de sac.... not sure if they are doing it this year. I will have camera ready by the door just in case if I don't get a chance to talk to them!

I was amazed coming from PA on my 1st July 4th here what the general public were able to to with fireworks.... I think under the "guise" of scaring off birds that were a nuisance to crops or something like that in order to get the permit!

Seeing as how I live in PA around here the not supposed to have fireworks rule seems to go out the window. You cannot sell ground to air fireworks in PA as for launching them that is completely another story at least here. As everywhere I look the last night and tonight there have been fireworks. :rotfl2:

Here are some pictures of fireworks from my backyard neighbor and the neighbor who launched them across the street, it was like a fireworks war tonight on and off for about two hours they went back and forth.

Here are some pics

MAK,

now I can't send e-mail to both your e-addy. :( Your servers don't like my e-addy.

That is weird. I did get the messages yesterday that you thought did not go through. I will go back and check the other computer. I have Outlook on both, and it might have come in on there!

just replied to the e-mail you sent me and we'll see what'll happen

Have a good day. Off to work I go.

got home from work... received a kicked-back e-mail from your server again.

I created a GMail addy justs for you... see what happens - it is web based and not set up to go into my Outlook.

sent you a test message. Please check whether you got it.

Got it and replied just shortly ago. (Is that a sentance???) I don't know - my brain is tired, and DD really wants to go to MK tonight.... I'm dressed and just have to grab my camera..... trying to drum up the energy!

Here's one I took last night - Fantasy In the Sky - amazing fireworks, I was at BTMR again, so not the best vantage point, and they were 360 degrees around - so impossible to get it all. Lots of red, whites and blues - including some blue stars that I totally missed - my timing was off for them. I think this looks like a sea anemone!

I'm at the Business Center of the Contemporary, checking emails -- and the DISboards, of course :sunny:

We have a spectacular MK-view room, from the 8th floor, and I got some GREAT pics from there a couple nights ago, perching my Pentax on the railing. I'll post when I get home. Also got some very good shots of IllumiNations last night: we got there early and snagged a BENCH right on the water, outside of England. (Simply the best seat I've had for this extravaganza, ever.)

Looking forward to the festivities tonight. But I could NOT believe the mob last night. We left IllumiNations promptly at 9:15, hot-footed it back to the BC, where we'd parked, left the BC at about 9:30. And didn't get to the Contemporary until 10. It was bumper to bumper on the main road into the MK. Unreal. It was an EMH night for the MK and -- I can't believe this -- resort guests could stay until 4 am. :dance3: I guess we caught the Night Shift as it was coming on duty... :teeth:

More soon. Happy 4th everybody! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Greetings Greg..... it was busy last night. Tara and I were in MK until midnight - leaving at that time was not too bad. I was amazed at all the people lining up for the 12:30 Spectromagic - lots of SLEEPING kids!!! I was hoping Tara would make it until 1am - but after 9 times on BTMR she was ready to go home!

Can't wait to see you photos.... you will have to go back to EPCOT and secretly mark that bench for the rest of us!!!! I have yet to get Illuminations from a good spot!

I hope you enjoy the rest of your visit. We will stay close to home in the pool today!!!!!

A HUUUUUUGE thanks for the help with my fireworks questions! While they are not the best pics, I think I finally figured it out!
I know this one shows some hand movement (no tripod) but since it has a hidden Mickey, I thought it deserved a post.

I think this is my best one from tonight

Anyone know how to prevent things from going so 'white' during the finale?
