A Cookie or a Cold Hotdog?

Did the grandparents know the 8 year old from before? Was she one who liked cold hotdogs?

I know kids who loved cold hotdogs.

Assuming the 8 year old was not a cold hotdog lover - I would have just said you have to share it and then broke it in half.

hmm-my take is completely different-upon discovering only one cookie in the cookie jar-i would have said-grandma only has one cookie left-since there are not enough for both of you you may have another snack. If the child insisted i would simply have said no-choose another snack or wait until the next meal.

If there was one cookie, I would have at least asked the other girl if she wanted to split it before giving the whole thing to the younger one. If both wanted it and they couldn't agree to share, then cookies would be off the table for both..

I tend to agree with using either one of these solutions..:goodvibes

Maybe the Gramma thought the Keebler Elf would show up, so she gave the older girl the hot dog to tide her over until he did!

(just thinking of the commercial where there is just one fudge stripes cookie left and two girls. The older girls goes to take it, but sees the younger girl eyeing it. She offers it to the younger girl who takes it with a smile. The older girl is clealry disappointed that she has to give it up, but she does. Meanwhile the head Keebler Elf uses his magic and when the girl turns around, there is another fudge stripe cookie in the package.

The grandma did not know the older girl very well, and had no idea if she liked cold hot dogs or not. She just went to the frig, after she gave the cookie to the younger girl, and pulled out a hot dog and held it up in front of the older girl and said "would you like a weiner?"

This thread kinda has me jonesing for a cold hot dog.

:rotfl:

This thread is oddly entertaining. It's DIS PrimeTime: What Would You Do???

Also reminds me of the commercial for something (insurance, maybe?) where one little girl gets a My Little Pony kinda thing, and the next girl gets a REAL pony.

That is an odd thing to do!:lmao:

Would she have cooked it for the girl if she said yes?

If there's mustard in the house, gimme the cold hot dog! It's no different than bologna! Mmmmmm!!! What kid doesn't like bologna? And a hot dog is way more filling than a cookie.
