A computer question????

Why all of a sudden am I getting huge amounts of pop-ups? Never had them until this morning. Now, every 5 minutes one pops up!!! It is soooo annoying. I also am getting a messege about 'not being able to run scripts'?? Huh? I am so darn computer illiterate. Any ideas??

You need to download and run:


Adaware

and

Spybot

Both are free tools that remove garbage from your computer that do things like popups and track your internet usage. You should run these programs weekly, if not 2-3x a week.

p.s. Not being able to run scripts is good - this most likely means that spy software is trying to run something on your computer you really don't want to be running.

(and of course, you are running a current updated Antivirus software on your computer???)

Get a pop-up blocker or spy-ware remover. They have lots to choose from over at www.downloads.com. just go to internet, then select your category!

Thanks guys. Norton Anitvirus just let me know it grabbed that Trojan thing. And I never download anything. We do have Spybot and run a program every Sat night. And just this minute a popup advertising a program to stop popups just cropped up!!! man.

Also need a pop blocker on your computer. Google pop blocker is a good one and it's free.
