Just an FYI.... the HRH only has a total of 4 washers and 4 dryers for the entire hotel.

During our trip this past August, we had come from a stay at CSR, the day we left to check in at HRH, I had a basket of laundry I wanted to do. My DH said why not just wait and do it over at HRH when we get there. I said "no, better just do it here at CSR first".

Well I'm glad I did!! When we got to HRH, I tried to dry a couple of things that were wet and went looking for their washers/dryers. They only have 2 sets on the 2nd floor and 2 on the 4th floor... and of course they were all being used. There was another woman trying to do some laundry as well, we were saying that for the size of this hotel, you would think they would have more facilities.

I was there, too. I got the impression that they encourage you to have them do your laundry. I nearly dropped dead when I read what they charge!!! I looked in the yellow pages there and there are no laundrymats in the area along International drive. Sheraton Studio city had no laundry facilities at all!!

I couldn't believe how few washer and dryers they had at HRH. I too think they just want you to use their laundry service. I was able to get ours done but I had to do them at 6 in the morning! I did laundry at GF too and there was never a wait. I guess most people at GF don't do their own laundry!

Hi-
We were there as well. Hubby did some loads for me during our stay. (He does it at home as well) His biggest complaint besides the lack of facilities was the fact that people left their clothes in the small number of machines and went off and did other things when there was a sign requesting that you should stay with your clothes. He found himself taking out others peoples laundry that was done so that he could use the machine. That rubbed him the wrong way- I think that was the first and last time he'll be doing clothes at HRH!

My daughter got her undershirt wet somehow and couldn't go anywhere without it. I finally found the closet they call a laundry facility and waited for the tiny dryer. It took forever to dry one little undershirt. I could have done it faster with the hair dryer in the room. The only good thing was the room had a TV.

OP here  In my post I mentioned that we did laundry at CSR before heading over to HRH... they had an entire room full of washers and dryers. Must have been 15 washers and 20 dryers... plus they have 3 rooms like that, one for each section!! Quite a shock going to HRH.

I think what Jaynerita said is true, they want you to use their services. I too checked out the price list, I could have bought a new wardrobe for what it would have cost to have my clothes cleaned.:earseek:

It has to be my biggest complaint it the laundry room. I got stuck staying up until 3 am doing laundry. After 1 am you could get a washer/dryer. My DD and I ran from the 2nd to the 4th floor and back trying to do laundry. Maybe off season will be easier. I go back to HRH I pack more clothes!!!!!
