A Christmas Story (movie)

I believe this has to be my DH's FAVORITE movie of all time (I personally don't care for it) But he asked me last night if I've seen in on yet this year. I haven't. I told him to check the listings on TIVO and he said he already had done that. Does anyone know when it's on so I can tell him?

its been on tcm already, but I know some station plays it 24 hours straight starting on christmas eve. at least I think there is, can't remember what station...tbs maybe?

It's 24 hours of A Christmas Story on TNT every year!

It is also on DVD.

hmmmm... Maybe it is tbs this year. I know it used to be TNT. I cant check TIVO since DS is currently watching Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas.

Sounds like you have a great last minute Christmas gift idea! We have the DVD and watch it every year. I bet he would love all the extra features.

Also, I started a thread the other day about "A Christmas Story" board game I bought for my BIL. They sell them in the kids section at Borders Books, but the questions look fun enough to play for adults, too.

It starts at 8 on Christmas Eve on TBS. It plays for 24 hrs.

Yeah, he knew about the 24 hr marathon, but I guess he was looking foward to watching it a bit earlier. Guess I'll have to buy the movie for him.

My sister got my dad 2 leg lamps. She ordered them from some catalog and they accidently sent 2. I cant wait to see if he actually uses them.

We watched it on DVD Sunday. Man I love that movie. Did you know that the elf in Elf who tells Buddy he isn't a cotton headed ninny muggins is Peter Billingsley who played Ralphie. I just thought that was cool since they are both my favorite Christmas movies.

My neighbor got the leg lamp for Christmas and it's PROMINENTLY displayed in their bay window -- blinds drawn and everything. I wonder if his wife will do what Ralphie's mother did in the movie. It even came in a wooden crate marked "FRAGILE". Very cool!
