I want to thank all of you who have posted recently regarding some positive visits to the BCV.

Last year, I had some big problems during my stays (which I'm not going to discuss now). :( Until I read these recent posts, I was seriously considering selling my BCV points and just being satisfied with the BWV. But thanks to all these good reports, I've changed my mind. I'm giving the BCV another chance, and this morning, I booked a room for January. I am actually excited to be going back to the villas!

I am truly looking forward to "going home" again. Thanks for your posts! :D

I think BCV may have got the message. Since a rash of complaints on this forum about BCV it appears the management over there has been told to get its act together, money is involved which should be enough to make them change their ways. The best thing I have heard is that management is treating the DVC guests like they should be now. A good sign.:D

As you can see, I'm only a few days away from my first DVC visit and very excited to be going "home!" I'll post a report when I return and hopefully it will be fun of great Beach Club Villa memories. :sunny:

Loved my trip to Beach Club Villas and I have many great memories. Memories aided by the 14 rolls of 35mm film I shot! :p

Now I am looking forward to my first trip to Old Key West in July!

Hope everyone enjoys BCV! :teeth:

We just returned from BCV this past Monday and our experience was wonderful. There was a minor glitch involving the television in the living room (it died), but all of the cast members we encountered were cheerful and helpful, and BCV was beautiful. We also found ourselves going to Epcot A LOT! We never even made it to the other side of the Boardwalk.

Before we recently closed on new add-on points at BWV and new points at BCV I gave my guide a call and referred him to the posts about problems at BCV. He called me back after he had reviewed the posts with management and said that for some DVC management this was the first time they had heard about some of the problems. He assured me that calls would be made, etc.

I told him if I found ants in my room I was going to call him. He said he'd run right over with a can of Raid. We were joking, but he got the message that I'm expecting our stay at BCV this July will be a good one for us. Otherwise....I'll be walking right over to his office and he encouraged me to do so. He said he wished other DVC members would think to call their guides to let them know there are issues.

I don't know how many folks think to do that...or have done so without response. I just know my guide is a "keeper". He knows we are likely to buy more points in the future and he wants to maintain a good relationship with us. That's how it should work....but I'm sure it often doesn't.

I know what you mean. We do the same thing but we also spend a lot of time at MGM,. Once we became DVC members at BWV we discovered how wonderful and easy it it is to go to Epcot & MGM for dinner, a little shopping/a few attractions/people watching followed by Illuminations or Fantasmic and then to just take a very leisurely walk or boat ride back to our resort, followed by getting an ice cream at seashore sweets or just enjoying the boardwalk atmosphere before going to our beautiful villa---it is wonderful!!

Ditto! We just returned Monday also and I've been whining all week about not wanting to be here~! ;) I really appreciated the gotcha's from others and fortunately we had no issues in the BCV. Now the dance music from the private party at MGM at 11:30pm --well that's another story...but I think I just may have been jealous as it didn't wake the kids up just me. :p

I will be staying at BCV at the beginning and end of my trip, which begins tomorrow. I stayed there last September in a one-bedroom villa and we had no problems, so I am not anticipating any this time either, but I will report if there are.

On another (possibly related) note, I received a call yesterday from Disney asking me to take part in a discussion group while I am there next week. The individual asked me some leading questions about my experiences with the DVC in general so far. It's being held at the Boardwalk. I'll report about that as well when I return.
