~~ A Celebration of Life-long friendship ~~ Sew Sweet 16 ~~ Now N' Thens 3/11

Glad you and Victoria had a good visit with your dad. That's a lot of tomatoes. My day would grow tons of tomatoes, too. We'd end up with baskets full. I had two tomato plants and only got a few.
The I phone 6 launch went okay. The preorder was one of the store managers. She used her son's upgrade. Since it was Verizon he lost his unlimited data. She wasn't happy about that. I explained everything to her before I did the upgrade but she wasn't thinking about data. I'm not sure how it all ended up since she had to deal with Verizon over that not me.
I hope you have a great day.

Hi D~! Just popping in to say hi. I haven't been on the DIS and probably won't be on a regular basis since I'm spending so much time at the Condo we are renovating. I miss keeping up with everyone, but I tend to spend waaaaay too much time once I'm on. I am checking FB regularly, though and have enjoyed your pics there. Your Dad looks soooo good! And happy. That's awesome!

Hope you are having a great Sunday!

I'm guessing you won't forget the cover for the blow up hole for the blow up bed anymore :)

Poor Lottie :( I'm glad you found out what was wrong and that she started eating as soon as she got new food.

Sounds like a lot happened this weekend. But it also sounds like you had a good time after all.

Here they have warned for snow in the mountains on the weather forecast. Today I woke up to snow on top of the mountains surrounding Tromsø. At my parents house (they live 100 meters above sea level while I live 25 meters above sea level) it snowed today. But the snow melted as soon as it got to the ground.
It just shows that it's that time of year again when I have to start thinking about changing to snow tires on my car.

Hey Miss D - all caught up! And subbed! You would not believe all the time you and I spent together this weekend:) I read your blog, and all of your TR!!! I was very determined as I love to live Disney through you!! Your beautiful smile, zest for life and love of Disney just shines through. I cannot wait to share your journey with you. All of the girls look like they are having such a wonderful time - I love Alli's videos!! And O's smiles! And V is looking so much older, she is so beautiful - your baby is growing up!

I am glad you enjoyed WDW's desserts without (too much) guilt. I am always battling my sweet tooth, sugar is such an addictive food. But on our short jaunt at WDW in Feb I really gave in. Just too much good stuff.

I read your blog too this weekend - I have some questions I am going to throw at you over there about exercising.

I loved, loved, loved your bags, but you really hit a home run with the Mickey and Minnie bag. I have some serious love for that bag D. You go girl!

I love seeing the pics of your Dad. I wrote him a short note a few weeks ago. I keep you and your family and Dad always in my prayers. I hope he doesn't mind a crazy Texan sending him notes now and then.

I was laughing at all of ya'll mentioning snow and low temps and such. We were so happy this week to actually be down to 95!

Little Thomas makes me really go down memory lane. He reminds me so much of my Shane at that age. Both my boys were really blond when they were little, their Irish heritage came out whereas I am a dark brunette. Tyler is now a dark blond, and Shane is a beautiful golden blond. Argh, and I pay good money to have their color of hair! Ha ha.

I am now back in the groove and looking forward to all your pics and the girls trip! You look beautiful and so fit D - be proud and loud!

Prayers and hugs!

Glad to see you had a great visit with your dad. Oh how those tomatoes look so yummy. Our tomatoes were just okay this year. Funny with the air mattress. We had an incident one time where it just went flat over night. Our poor guest was sleeping on the floor. Needless to say that got tossed.
Cranfest.... How exciting! Can't wait to hear about that too. How sweet that you saw V teacher. Love seeing my daughters teachers over the years.
Have a wonderful day!

Holy tomatoes!

Yay for doing mostly nada today!!!

Yah - I couldn't believe those tomatoes!

I know - it was soooo nice!

Thanks Liz!

Glad the launch went OK... Yikes about the changes to your store manager's plan - I can understand why she was mad!

I hope you have a great week!

Hi Lois! Welcome home! I cannot wait to hear about your trip - especially your Dismeets! Woohoo!

So, this condo... Are you and Dan planning on living in it when you are done? Or selling it? I missed that part.

Yes, my dad looks great - he was in good spirits too. I get the feeling that he is still lonely though, which makes me sad. I keep telling myself that he has to be less lonely now than when he was living in that other apartment by himself. I really do wish I didn't live so far away... Every time I go up to see him, I look for houses that are for sale near him... Clearly we wouldn't move now - but after the girls finish high school, I'd certainly consider it. I know we really never will - there isn't any work up there for Josh... But a girl can dream.

I'm guessing you won't forget the cover for the blow up hole for the blow up bed anymore

Hahaha... If we can find the above mentioned cover. :rolleyes1 I think that was the main reason it was "forgotten". LOL

I know - It had been a few days since she had eaten, and I was ready to take her to the vet this morning. Just glad she is eating again.

We did have a nice weekend.

UGH!!! Snow! I am NOT ready for it. I hate winter more and more every year. I told Josh yesterday that I am boycotting it before it even starts this year... popcorn::

Hahaha... It was very nice spending the weekend with you Carol - I enjoyed it a lot. :thumbsup2 Thanks for taking all that time to catch up with me... Life has been pretty boring lately.

Thanks! I really like how that bag turned out too. I may carry it a little bit here at home (as soon as I unpack it... :rolleyes1)

My dad showed my your note while I was there this weekend. Thank you for doing that! He loves that he is remembered. I told him he should write you to tell you of his trip to WA... I hope he does!

Hahaha... I really don't want to see any snow this year... I don't want any part of it. Actually - the snow can stay, that I don't mind. I don't want any part of the cold though... I hate the cold!

Awww... The boys sound so cute when they were little. I am sure you feel the same - but it just went by too fast.

I've missed you Carol - thanks for stopping by!!! Take care!

Following along on your adventures!!

Welcome Bridget!!! Thanks for stopping by! I hope to do an update again tomorrow.

Glad to see you had a great visit with your dad. Oh how those tomatoes look so yummy. Our tomatoes were just okay this year. Funny with the air mattress. We had an incident one time where it just went flat over night. Our poor guest was sleeping on the floor. Needless to say that got tossed.

Have a wonderful day! . Lynee

ACK!!! Thanks Lynee.... I've been wracking my brain for weeks trying to remember your first name, and it just wasn't coming to me. I felt like such a dork! Thanks for ending my search. :thumbsup2

LOL - I dunno what I am going to do for an air mattress this weekend for my BFF? I may end up going to buy a new one if we can't find that cover. Loved your story - I am sure mine will be similar this weekend. LOL

Love Cranfest - we have so much fun. We usually stay for 2 nights, but this time, it just didn't work out - so it will be a whirlwind trip. But we always have a great time together! Looking so forward to it!

We had a really nice day yesterday...

I finished up last week's order right away in the morning. Took pics, and packaged it up to mail today.

Then I showered and got ready...

I decided to go to Kohls to return the jeans and belt I'd purchased the other day. Josh went with me...

I also went to Famous Footwear to try on a pair of boots I found online that I liked... Glad I did, because once I tried them on - I didn't like them. :confused3 So, the search for brown boots continues... Sigh.

Then we went down to Northfield to drop something off for Josh's cousin (the one who plays hockey in the games we go to all winter long - the only enjoyable thing about winter, IMO)... It was great to see him... Matt and his room mates are so funny!

We came home... I took a nap. Josh made pork chops for dinner.

Then I went upstairs to watch the Roosevelt series on PBS... I highly recommend watching it - it's very good! I am learning a lot, that either I don't remember from school - or it was never taught. I am pretty sure it's the former, because I asked Josh if he knew any of this stuff - and he did. :rolleyes1 :confused3

Today is a Target day for me... :scared:

I hope to have an update for you all tomorrow.

Prayers and good thoughts to all of you! :grouphug:

D~

I've been curious as to what your TRs were like..and I'm glad I read this!

You and your group seem like so much fun! I loved the video, even if the parade kinda drowned them out at some parts!

You guys arriving at your resort made me really miss Disney and that excitement of getting there and having a week of fun ahead of you. Sadly we get there so late we're only fit for eating and dropping in bed not hitting a park!

The Tink M&G looks so cute! Can't wait to visit myself, always wanted to meet her.

Oh I want to ride Splash Mountain so badly!! I've missed out on our last few trips so if it'll finally be running a FP+ for that is a must-do!

Can't wait to read more!

Howdy!
Its always great to have visitors but so sad when they have to leave!! Thomas is just the cutest thing. :(

Wow your dads tomatoes are huge! They look perfect right now for some fried green tomatoes.

Ahh the joys of sleeping on air mattresses, it never seems to fail that I end up on the floor in the morning right in the middle of the bed with air mattress walls around me!

Have fun at Cranfest, love cranberry's!

Sounds like you had a busy day yesterday.

Today I woke up to snow on my balcony and everywhere else outside.
The snow has come early this year, but I don't think it will stay until spring. I'm guessing we will get a period with no snow before the real winter snow comes.

Just wanted to post to say that I am still reading along when I can. The new job is awesome and I love it, but I haven't figured out how to keep up with my DIS time yet.

I am so glad you dad is doing well and you were able to have a nice visit with him.

Hi there! Welcome! I am so happy you decided to follow along!

Yah - we have a great time together, most of the time. :thumbsup2

I just love "getting there" - it's the best feeling in the world! Your whole trip ahead of you, and all the magical possibilites await! It's my favorite day! :wizard:

Tink is a lot of fun - and I am glad the wait line wasn't too long.

Splash is a deal breaker for me... I would completely cancel and rebook my trip if it was down while we were there. LOL So far I've been lucky and I've never had to do that - nor has it ever been down as a last minute thing. Knock on wood...

Again, welcome - thanks for joining in!

Howdy!

Hi Cindy!!! How are you?

Yah - he has lots of tomatoes! I was shocked! I've never had fried green tomatoes before... but that is one of my favorite movies... :thumbsup2

Hehehe... I hate air mattresses.

We will have fun - we are very excited!

I think i am caught up now!!! YAY!!!

Yay!!! Welcome back! Missed you!

Hi Jennifer! I hope your new job is going well... I am sure you will figure out a way to Dis at the new job. :stir:

THank you - yes, he is doing well. It was a nice visit.

Nothing exciting here...

I worked at Target yesterday...

Watched the Roosevelts last night... Fell asleep to it. It'll be a few months before I finish the series at this rate. LOL

I was all excited to do a trip update this morning, and Josh unhooked the hard drive with all of our pictures on it. Sigh. So, now I can't do anything until he hooks it back up. Super annoyed, but not much I can do about it. :surfweb: Hopefully he will have it back to rights tonight.

Have a great day everyone, and thanks for your patience. :grouphug:

Today the snow on my balcony is gone. It's only a little snow on the lawn outside my window.

Distracted and busy! I need to sit down and get my thoughts straight on everything that needs to get done.
Trying to get everything ready for the cruise that is only a couple of weeks away. Between pirate costumes, outfits, packing, coordinating schedules with everyone coming from Kentucky and telling Gerald for the hundredth time when he needs to be off work and that this cruise revolves around my niece and not him I think I'm going to pull my hair out. Really looking forward to being with my sister and her family but group trips stress me. This is why when anyone mentions them I cringe. I think in total there are 15 people, all over 18. Thankfully everyone has cruised before just not on Disney. One of my biggest fears is that someone will say they don't like the Disney cruise or complain a lot and burst my happy little Disney bubble.:rotfl2:

OMG fried green tomatoes are fantastic, figure friendly not so much but they are an occasional treat. If you get froggy and want to try them this is how we do it. Slice them about 1/4" thick, put them in milk or buttermilk and then dredge in corn meal. Place them in a skillet with hot oil about 1/4" or a little less deep and fry until golden brown. A little remoulade on the side for dipping.

Awww...so sorry for no new updates, but I can't complain really since I'm the worst at them. Plus...I'll get to see everything in person beginning.....TOMORROW!! :cool1:

I'm trying to keep myself on-track with a trip report (in my siggy below) and so far so good...but I'm not there yet and we'll see how I do when I return! :rotfl:

I have one question to anyone who knows the answer.
We are planning our USA road trip for next year. In our books about USA we have tumbled over Hells Canyon in Oregon. Is this place a must see?

I've been away for a while but I don't know who Lottie is. I don't think that's your sweet pup's (well big pup now) name but I don't remember a Lottie. Help an old tired brain! :confused3 :rotfl:

Today the snow on my balcony is gone. It's only a little snow on the lawn outside my window.

I am glad to hear that it's mostly gone - for now... I dread when it stays for you - If I remember correctly - your winters are much longer than ours.

Distracted and busy! I need to sit down and get my thoughts straight on everything that needs to get done.

Hi Cindy!!! It's been too long! It's great to see you!

THis is going to be a crazy (but FUN) trip for you!!! I hope you'll write a TR or at least tell us about it! Don't let anyone burst your Disney bubble!

LOL Thanks for the recipe... I might give them a try!! :thumbsup2 They sound good.

I had a nice heavy lifting work out yesterday - it felt good.

I also had a great work day yesterday! I was able to get my next custom order cut out and quilted... I was even able to start the applique. Woohoo!

Victoria had an appointment, so I had to run into town for a while.

Frozen pizza for dinner...

Today is Level 2 30DS...

I plan to finish up this week's applique - maybe start on some pre-assembly work, if I have the time.

Annnnd... I am uploading pictures right this moment for an update! :woohoo:

Have a wonderful day everyone - Prayers and good thought to all of you! :grouphug:
