After 6 trips to WDW, my Dsis booked us into CSR for my 50th birthday. It was my wish resort and our first mod .Loved it and have many magical memories. For three trips we stayed at POR Riverside (being spoiled by all that mods offer)
I thought I would not want to stay anywhere else on the Disney property. Well, I'm not financially able to stay at a deluxe.
I was really hooked on Riverside! I never once considered CBR. I thought it was the oldest and least "moderate like" I thought it was always crowded with sports teams, or tour groups.
In May of this year I stayed at CBR in Barbados village for 7 days. I received a pin code and though I couldn't really afford a trip this year thought I would take advantage of the discount.
l could not have had a better stay. I was given a corner room, lovely and large, with two hugh windows and overlooking Barefoot Bay, a courtyard and the Barbados sand beach.
All of the resort staff were friendly and helpful. The walk to Old Port Royale was about 7 mins. There was a beautiful walk (about 20 minutes) around the lake island, which is dotted with small shelters and private benchs for resting or reading.
It was always so quiet, more so than POR. Where Riverside is filled with trees , like a soutthern forest, CBR is wide open with tropical trees, many lilac, and other sweet smelling flowering types. The buses were extremely quick for me, I could walk to Barbados or Martinique bus stops as my room was in between.
The food court was not as useful to me ( the variety lacked) as AoA had been but it sufficed. What I did have was hot and good. It was clean everywhere, mousekeeping was great.
Would I stay again? Yes, anytime. Hopefully in the exact same room!

Thank you for the review! I'm staying there for the first time in September and I'm glad to see you had a great time and that the resort was nice.

Staying here for the first time next week. Spent 2 previous trips at POFQ and love it, but I'm looking forward to giving CBR a try this time.

Thanks for your review. CBR is the only mod we've stayed at and we loved everything about it. Glad you had a great time and enjoyed the resort :wizard:.

Thanks for your review! We're staying at CBR in October. We usually stay at POFQ but decided to try something different this time.

We also stayed in CBR for seven nights just over a week ago. We were in Martinique in a standard room with a great garden view (but we kept the curtains closed when we were in the room). Our room was available when we arrived about 9:30AM so we moved right in. We used the Martinique pool (and Barbados pool once when our pool was closed) every day and they were large and nice with plenty of chairs and tables. Beds were very comfortable (Beautyrest with pillow top). Our housekeepers were also very good (our room was done by about 2PM every day). Parking was very convenient. We usually stay in DVC resorts, but this was a pointless trip (no points left for the trip and our son just started a Professional Internship in late May). We had the AP Spring discount rate for the room and it was very affordable. We did not have a room with the murphy bed in it. We ate dinner twice in the food court and breakfast once as well. Magic bands worked great. We would stay there again if we couldn't use DVC points. We've also stayed at just about every Deluxe or Moderate resort (no values yet). CBR was very nice.

Our room was also very quiet. We were on the second floor and heard almost nothing for all seven nights. Except for Epcot and DHS fireworks. We got seats every time we left the resort on a bus and only had to stand once coming back.

Thanks for the review! We're going to CBR again in November and I can't wait. Glad you had such an awesome stay! :)
